It’s the first Friday of the month which means it’s time for the First Fridays Blog Hop and our theme is Fall! I hope you’ll have a chance to visit everyone’s blog today!

My projects today use the new Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper! It’s gorgeous paper and it’s my guess that it’s going to be very popular.  If you love it as much as I do, I’d order it as soon as possible in case it goes on backorder (you can place your order beginning at 3:00 am Mountain Time on September 1st).  The Stampin’ Up! colors that coordinate with this paper beautifully are:  Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango and Very Vanilla.

This cute box is very easy to make and only requires 2 glue dots!  You can fit two snack sized candy bars inside and probably another one if you don’t mind it peeking out.  It can also hold 10 pieces of hard candy like Werther’s.

When I make a box such as this one, I always make a template and store it in a binder so that I can easily recreate it.  Here’s all the measurements and where you’ll cut. On the right hand side where it says trim, just cut off about half, no need to measure.

Below you’ll find directions to make the box!  If you have questions, please leave a comment and I’ll answer just as soon as I can.

The two pieces in the middle that I’m holding up will create the sides of the box.

We’ll work on one side at a time. Bring over to this middle piece, one of the sides that you’ve trimmed, not the one with a glue dot.

Fold the trimmed piece over.  There will be a little bit of a gap where you trimmed the paper, but don’t worry, it’s fine.

Now, bring over the other side with the glue dot. Your glue dot should be on the other side of the piece sticking up.

Fold over the piece with the glue dot and press it firmly.  You just created the first side!  Do the same steps on the other side.

Here’s what the inside looks like when the sides are created.

To finish the box, you can simply clip it with our Gold Library Clips or punch a hole on each side using a 1/2″ Circle Punch and tie it together with ribbon.

All of the products I used to create my boxes can be found at the end of the post.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Today’s project was inspired by fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Dawn Olchefske many years ago.  It’s definitely an oldie but goodie!

Please continue onto Dee Slater’s blog and enjoy the hop!
