Products on the Retiring List are starting to move over to the Discontinued List which means they are gone forever. Last week I featured the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack and sadly, it has now sold out. As of this morning at 8:00 am Pacific Time, this is what else is gone.
Today’s card features naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, also on the Retiring List. Berry Burst & Night of Navy cardstock worked beautifully with this paper for my card but the other coordinating colors are; Emerald Envy (retiring), Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Peekaboo Peach (retiring), Soft Sky (retiring) and Whisper White.
While looking through my stamps for a sentiment for my card, I looked at the Picture Party Birthday and saw the words “Celebrate the Good Stuff.” While it is a birthday set, I saw these words as encouragement. Over the last month, two of my uncles have passed away. Last Wednesday, my Uncle Bill unexpectedly died, one month to the day that his brother, my Uncle Jerry, passed away. Dealing with one death is hard enough but when you lose two loved ones in a month’s time . . . . . . they were taken way too soon. When I saw the words, celebrate the good stuff, it made me think that even during grief, we need to celebrate all the good about a special person with stories and remembrance.
The measurements for today’s card are:
- Night of Navy: 11″ x 4-1/4″ scored at 5-1/2″
- Berry Burst: 5-1/4″ x 4″ scrap for scalloped oval
- Whisper White: scrap for sentiment 5-1/4″ x 4″ for inside of card
- Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper: (2) 1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″ (2) 1-7/8″ x 3″
