Once I start making Dahlia Fold flowers, I can’t stop! This one was created using Happiness Bloom Designer Series Paper. When choosing a paper to use, I look for two compatible designs because you’ll see both sides of the paper.
I used a 1-3/4″ Circle Punch to punch out 8 circles. You can watch my video here (it’s also at the end of this post) to see how to fold each circle. I use retired paper in the video but you’ll see that it’s pretty easy to fold the paper and create one gorgeous flower! After folding each piece, I glued them to a 2″ circle (I used a 2″ Circle Punch).
I ran a piece of Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. It’s glued to a piece of Call Me Clover cardstock. Both the sentiment and the Dahlia Flower are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink using the stamp set Vibrant Vases. It was cut out using the Layering Ovals Framelits and the Big Shot. I used Call Me Clover cardstock (to match the base of the card) for the piece behind the sentiment which was also cut out with the Layering Ovals Framelits.
Last week I created two more Dahlia Fold cards that you can see here. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
- Call Me Clover cardstock: 11″ x 4-1/4″ scrap for sentiment
- Whisper White: 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Happiness Blooms : 8 circles cut out using the 1-3/4″ Circle punch
- Whisper White: 1 circle using the 2″ Circle punch scrap for sentiment
