For the last several weeks, the focus of all my projects has been on our beautiful Designer Series Paper. I’ve been so impressed lately with the paper Stampin’ Up! has been producing. When Designer Series Paper is used on a card or project, it really is the star!
The Designer Series Paper I used today is from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. There are 40 sheets in the package, 2 each of 2 double-sided designs in all 10 colors in the Subtles Collection: Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, and Highland Heather (the color I used).
The base of my card is Blackberry Bliss. I also used this color for the bottom layer of the Designer Series and the piece the sentiment sits on. I used the embossing folder, Softly Falling, to create the beautiful texture on the Highland Heather cardstock. I thought the dots of the embossing folder would look nice with the dots of the Designer Series Paper.
I popped the DSP layer up with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well as the sentiment layer. It’s amazing how adding height to a layer with dimensionals really changes the overall look of a card! It really makes a difference! I used the stamp set Healing Hugs and stamped the sentiment in Highland Heather ink. The sentiment was punched out with a 2″ Circle Punch and the Blackberry Bliss underneath it was cut out with the Starburst Punch.
