Several weeks ago I shared that you can cut out a variety of materials with the Big Shot. My daughter and I cut seventy felt hearts in rainbow colors with the Big Shot because she had a very special project in mind for them.

Have you ever heard the term Rainbow Baby?  I hadn’t heard it used until my daughter had a miscarriage several years ago.  It was such a heart wrenching experience for her and I wish I could have done something to ease the pain of her loss. I found this definition of a Rainbow Baby and thought it was a beautiful description.  “Rainbow Baby is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn’t mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.”

My grandson is my daughter and son-in-laws beautiful Rainbow Baby. He is absolutely precious and has brought such joy into our lives. I can’t imagine life without this very special little boy.
