Today’s card is a fun one because it’s a pocket card! The folds create a little pocket where the Whisper White cardstock slips in. It would be easy to add a gift card with glue dots and when the cardstock is lifted out of the pocket, ta da!, a gift card!
This card is one of the ones featured in my January Card Kits. When you place an order with me in the month of January using the host code BCDR6NRJ, you’ll receive all of the supplies to make today’s card along with two other cards (you need to provide adhesive, ink and stamps). All of the paper will be cut, scored, punched, die cut and ready for you to assemble! A PDF will also be included with pictures, measurements and supply lists. If you aren’t sure how to use the Host Code, click here for directions.
This month, there’s no minimum order needed to receive the January Card Kits and PDF and if you bump your order to $50, in addition to receiving a Sale-a-bration item from Stampin’ Up!, you’ll also receive an extra goodie from me in your thank you package. Click here to start shopping!
Have a great day!

I’ve been in a gift card making mood and have several more for you this week! But first, if you follow my blog, you know that for the last several months I’ve been posting Monday – Friday. I wanted to let you know that I’m going to make a small change in my schedule and you can count on my posts Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. I won’t be posting tomorrow but I’ll have one more way to package a gift card on Saturday.
On to today’s project! This is a small card and will definitely fit into one of our Whisper White Medium Envelopes with some extra space. You could also tuck it inside a small gift bag and just forget the envelope!
As you can see from the picture, your gift card slides in to the pocket.
The sentiment sits on a scalloped oval which has Stampin’ Dimensionals along the bottom edge. That way, the top flap can tuck underneath it. Hopefully the picture helps in understanding this.
I used Party Animal Designer Series Paper to decorate the panels of the holder. This paper is currently on the retiring list and on sale. It’s normally $11.00 but you can get it, while supplies last, for $6.60!
Base: 8-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ score on long side at 3-1/4″ and 7-1/4″
(Use tear and tape to adhere the sides together to make a pocket)
Designer Series Paper: 3-1/4″ x 3″ and 3-1/4″ x 1-1/4″

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be back on Saturday!
For those of you who receive updates via email, you saw a post come through a few minutes ago but I hadn’t finished it! I accidentally hit PUBLISH instead of SAVE. I was writing it early so that it would post on Monday but it looks like it is going out today!! Here’s the finished version! I’m sorry for any confusion I might I have caused.
Today I’m sharing a Gate Fold birthday card that fits nicely inside one of our Whisper White envelopes.
To make this fold, start out with a piece of cardstock that measures 8-1/2” x 4-1/4”. Score at 2-1/8” on the long side and again at 2-1/8” on the opposite side and fold on the score lines.
I cut the white scalloped piece and the two squares on top of it using the Layering Squares Framelits
Attach Stampin’ Dimensionals to the LEFT side of the scalloped piece and attach it to the left panel on the front of the card being careful that your dimensionals are hidden.
Card base: 8-1/2” x 4-1/4”. Score at 2-1/8” on the long side and again at 2-1/8” on the opposite side.
Designer Series Paper: Two pieces cut @ 1-7/8” x 4”.
Whisper White cardstock:
3-1/4” x 3-1/4” scalloped piece: run it through the Big Shot using the Layering Squares Framelits
2-3/8” x 2-3/8” for the sentiment; if you have the Layering Squares Framelits to cut this piece, start with a piece that measures 2 ½” x 2 ½”).
4″ x 4″ for inside the card
Coordinating cardstock: 2-5/8” x 2-5/8” ; if you have the Layering Squares Framelits to cut this piece, start with a piece that measures 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”)
All the supplies used to create this card are Stampin’ Up! They are shown below along with their item number and price. When you click on the picture, you’ll be taken to that item in my Stampin’ Up! online store. From there it’s easy to add it to your cart. I love making gift card holders! I made this about a month ago but never posted it. You can see another one I posted HERE using the Birthday Basics DSP.
I used Bermuda Bay paper from the Brights DSP Stack. I love these stacks of paper, especially the ones with dots. I left the circle blank inside so that a sentiment could be written there. As I am sitting her typing my post, I’ve been looking at the front of the card and thinking that I could have added more details to jazz it up. I have to remind myself that it is okay to have a card front that isn’t super busy!

My card today is one that I am going to go send off to a friend as soon as I finish this post! It is called a box card and opens up to a box that is two inches high. I realize I should have taken a picture from an angle where you can see that. I am going to put a gift card inside and write a note on the Whisper White paper I put at the bottom of it. The great thing is that it fits perfectly into one of our Whisper White envelopes!I made a belly band to fit around it so that it will stay closed. The hardest part of this project was figuring what paper I wanted to use! I like this card because it is unique and I hope my friend likes it too!
