Hello Cupcake Stampin' Up!

This week I’ll be sharing cards using the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Hello Cupcake.  When you place a $50 order, you can choose this stamp set. It will be added to your order AND it will be absolutely free! Click here to learn about Sale-A-Bration and see everything you can choose from!

This is really a fun stamp set to work with.  It’s photopolymer which means the stamps are see through which makes it so easy to see exactly where you’re stamping.

All the Details

I started with a base of Highland Heather.  The next layer is also Highland Heather and I stamped it with one of the stamps in the set, using Highland Heather ink.  I adhered it to the base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a piece of Vellum on top and glued it down using glue dots.  I didn’t want the glue dots to be seen so added them where I knew the cupcake would be.

I stamped the cupcake liner using Crumb Cake and fussy cut it out.  For the frosting I used Pool Party, Highland Heather and Blackberry Bliss and stamped them onto Whisper White cardstock.  Blackberry Bliss is pretty dark when it’s stamped full strength so I stamped it first onto a piece of scratch paper and then onto my Whisper White. I fussy cut each one out and then added Stampin’ Dimensinoals to each layer before adding them to the card.

The sentiment was also stamped onto Whisper White cardstock and then cut out using the Big Shot and the brand new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  I used both Stampin’ Dimensionals  and Snail to adhere this piece to the card – the side that touches the cupcake liner has snail and a dimensional is on the other side. I added a few Adhesive Backed Sequins around the card for some sparkle! I love that I don’t have to add glue to these little pieces and that they already have adhesive on them!
