This week it’s all about Treat Packaging! The Holiday Catalog debuts tomorrow, September 5th, so I’ll be using products from both the Holiday and Annual Catalog for my projects all week.
It seems early to start thinking about the holidays but they are right around the corner! The Takeout Treats Bundle (Takeout Thinlits & Takeout Treats stamp set) makes the cutest little takeout box containers! I have a video today showing how quickly you can make these boxes with the Takeout Thinlits and a Big Shot!
The box, above, uses the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper for a spooky treat holder. I used the stamp set Spooky Treats and inked my sentiment using a Gorgeous Grape stamp pad. The fancy little banner, using Gorgeous Grape cardstock, was made using a die in the Takeout Thinlits.
In the video I also share a box I made with Basic Black cardstock. The Mango Melody paper is from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper collection. I cut the Designer Series Paper using another die from the Takeout Thinlits. As I explain in the video, you could also use that same shape to cut right into the Basic Black cardstock and create a window!
All of the supplies I used for both boxes can be found below the video. Please note that not all of the products I used are available today (Takeout Treats Bundles, Takeout Thinlits Dies, Takeout Treats stamp set, Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper, Spooky Sweets stamp set) but as soon as the Holiday Catalog goes live tomorrow, you’ll be able to start ordering!
Supplies Used For the Takeout Treats Containers
cute boxes! do you have dimensions for the treat box die? would it fit into a cuttlebug? thanks for your help!
Thanks Cathie! I’m assuming you are wondering what the size is before it’s assembled? I don’t have a Cuttlebug but I believe our smaller embossing folders fit inside. If this helps, the box die does not fit in an embossing folder that measures 4-1/2″ x 6-1/4″ but it DOES fit inside one of our larger ones that measure 6-1/4″ X 6″. The finished size of the box is 2-1/8″ x 1-3/4″ x 2″. I hope that helps!
