Stampin’ Up! Bee My Valentine

Happy New Year!!! I hope you had a safe and fun New Year’s Eve! My husband, Mark, and I stayed home and we may have gone to bed before the clock struck midnight. 🙂

Today I’m sharing a card with new products that you can order on Thursday, January 4th.  I used the Bee My Valentine stamp set #162547 (available January 4th), Bee Mine Designer Series Paper #162546 (available January 4th), Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers #162557 (available January 4th), Stylish Shapes Dies and one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. The Bee Mine Valentine Bundle #162554 will also be available on January 4th and it includes the Bee My Valentine stamp set and the Bee My Valentine Punch. I didn’t use the punch on my card today but I always like to let you know about bundles so you can save 10%.

I started with a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock for the base of my card.  Then, I adhered a piece of Basic White to the inside of the card. Next, I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders.  I really love this particular embossing folder as it goes with everything but adds a nice texture to the card. Before adhering the embossed cardstock to the front of the card, I cut a piece of Bee Mine Designer Series Paper (available January 4th) and adhered it to the embossed cardstock. I like to do this first, in case I have to trim the paper.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve forgotten to adhere the Designer Series Paper to the cardstock first.

 

 

 

I cut another piece of Bee Mine Designer Series Paper (available January 4th) and adhered it to a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock. Then, I adhered it to the front of the card. 

 

 

I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink onto Basic White cardstock using the Be My Valentine stamp set (available January 4th) and then cut it out using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I cut a larger circle out of Balmy Blue cardstock and adhered the sentiment to the front.  I added Stampin’ Dimensional to the back (not on the part that hangs off the DSP/cardstock panel) and adhered it to the front of the card. 

 

 

To complete my card, I added three hearts to the embossed cardstock using the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers #162557 (available January 4th).
