It’s the day after Christmas! A time to sit in your pjs all day and do absolutely nothing or hop in your car to return gifts or get some good buys. I am a sit in your comfy PJs all day kind of girl.
Today I have a project that I posted in September 2012. I used the Cannery Set Framelits which can currently be found in the Clearance Rack (while supplies last). I was so sad when these retired but was very happy to see them show up on the Clearance Rack. There is a matching stamp set but it is no longer available. I used it for the top of my jar but using just the Framelits, you could use the jar top piece with a pretty piece of Designer Series Paper. That would look very cute! In less than two weeks, the Holiday Catalog will be gone and the new Occasions Catalog will be debuting. Here are some important dates to remember:
Holiday Catalog ends on January 2, 2014
Occasions Catalog begins on January 3, 2014
Some items from the Holiday Catalog will be on the Carryover List and will still be available although you won’t find them in a catalog. You can view this list by clicking the link below (this list also includes items from 2012).
Holiday Carryover List
Several items from the Holiday Catalog will also be in the Occasions Catalog such as the Silver 1/8″ ribbon, Silver and Gold foil sheets, Label Bracket punch, Metallic Encore pads, Burlap ribbon, Mini Muslin Bags and Decorative Window Boxes. All stamp sets that are not on the Carryover List will no longer be available as well as any Designer Series paper and other ribbon and accessories. Quick post today as Christmas Day is getting close!! Do you have a gift card and you’re wondering how you can package it in a different way? Use a plain tin container and emboss it! I used my Versamark to stamp my snowflakes, sprinkled them with silver embossing powder and heat embossed them! Be careful, as they do get quite hot! I added paper to the inside of the tin and made a small envelope with my Envelope Punch Board. Next, I ran it through my Big Shot with the Northern Flurry embossing folder.

Today would have been my dad’s 85th birthday. We lost him in 2009 and not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. He was all about family and he adored all of us. I was blessed with a wonderful father and grandfather for my daughters.

This last photo is of my daughters and my dad. Both of my girls are in their thirties now but this has always been a favorite picture of mine. They loved their grandpa!
