Have you had a chance to use our new Foil sheets yet? You have the choice of gold or silver and you receive (2) 12×12 single-sided sheets. They can be cut with the Big Shot or punches. I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to create my present-like card. It was very simple to put together and the shine makes it look so pretty (definitely a bit hard to tell in the picture). The base of my card is Cherry Cobbler and I “wrapped it up” with our beautiful white organza ribbon. My greeting is from the set Tags 4 You and I punched it out with the Label Bracket Punch. I adhered my bow with Glue Dots. Easy! I have to give Jackie Topa credit for this idea. Her card used the Gold Foil sheets and I knew immediately that I wanted to give the card a try. I’ve made several more with different embossing folders and will show those throughout the week!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday I mentioned that I would show another version of my snowman card. Instead of cutting him out, I stamped him directly onto my cardstock. Which one do you like better?

Who doesn’t love a snowman?? This cute little guy is from the set Snow Day in the Holiday Catalog. I stamped his body using Smoky Slate. I inked the stamp up, stamped it on my grid paper and then stamped it on my Whisper White paper. I did this because I felt that the color was just a bit too dark going immediately onto the paper. An extra added bonus was that I could practice placing his eyes, mouth, etc. on my grid paper first! I also used the Expressions Thinlits Die to make the word Merry (yesterday I used the set for the word Thankful). I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock and paper from the Season of Style DSP Paper Stack. I cut my snowman out and used dimensionals to mount him on a piece of Whisper White that I ran through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Another option, if you don’t want to cut the snowman out, is to stamp him directly onto a piece of paper that has not been embossed. I will post one tomorrow so you can see the difference.
I hope this inspires you to get into your stamping space today and make something!

Happy Friday! Yesterday I mentioned that I was heading to the DMV to renew my license. One piece of advice: make an appointment online! Oh my gosh, I was in and out in ten minutes! It was very painless. Now I just hope my picture turns out!!
Today’s card uses a very fun product from the Holiday catalog called Expressions Thinlits dies. These are used with your Big Shot and are very easy to use. I found that using waxed paper made the words just pop out of the die. The sandwich I used was: cutting plate, cardstock, waxed paper, thinlit, cutting plate. I used dots of glue with the 2 way glue pen to adhere the word to my card. I also used the 1 1/4″ Burlap ribbon. I don’t know why I waited so long to use this product!
Have a wonderful rest of the day!
