Happy Monday to you!! I spent my weekend playing around in my craft room. I wanted a card that would be easy for first time stampers and I think this card fits the bill. I used the flower in Button Buddies and stamped it in Real Red and Pumpkin Pie (I saw this combination on the site of another stamper but I cannot recall her name). I threaded white Baker’s Twine through a button from the Brights collection and adhered it with several glue dots. My sentiment is from Kindness Matters and I used Chocolate Chip ink. A quick but cute card!

Today I have another card using the stamp set Blooming with Kindness. I used Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point. Truthfully I am not sure what I think of this card. Perhaps a third color might have added that extra something to it. What do you think? I’m learning (slowly) not to be so darn picky about my cards. It’s almost Valentine’s Day! Today I have a card for you that is similar to one I posted a few weeks ago and you can see it here. My large heart is keeping the card closed and the two panels open up. I used a 4 1/4 inch piece of paper that I scored at 3 inches and 8 inches. My hearts on the left hand side were made using the Full Heart punch but the one on the right is from the Hearts a Flutter Framelits. I love the scalloped edge. I also used That’s the Ticket stamp set and punched it out with the Ticket Duo Builder punch. My paper is More Amore from the Spring catalog. Sweet Friend was punched out with the Petite Curly Label punch which can be yours FREE with a $50 order! Did you know that the Ciao, Baby! stamp set in the Spring Catalog also has images that can be used with this punch? for this card, I stamped Sweet Friend from the set Fabulous Phrases and then punched them out. They fit inside perfectly!!

I recently purchased a new computer and am trying to learn a new editing software program. My lights that I usually use to take pictures of my cards both stopped working a few months ago so I purchased new lights that I am just not happy with. I am not happy with the way my cards look when photographed. I ordered some new bulbs for my old lights and we will see if that takes care of the problem.
That being said, this card is so MUCH cuter in person. We made it at my Stamp Club last week and they all seemed to really like it!! I have to give credit to Mary Brown. She had a cute a tutorial that I followed and it was very easy to make this card. I am stuck on using the Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder combo. It is such a soft combination.
I used two stamp sets for my flowers, flower pot and butterfly. The butterfly came from A Fitting Occasion in the Annual catalog and the other cuties came from Spring Sampler in the Spring catalog. The card dimensions are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 which is a different size but will still fit in our envelopes! The openings were made using my 1 1/4 inch Scallop punch. My sentiment is a stamp set that you can get FREE with a $50 order or you could get the cute punch (or both with a $100 order) !!
