Happy Bag

Happy Bag

Happy Monday!  Here’s a way to brighten someone’s Monday morning!  Make them a sweet bag, like this one, and fill it up with some goodies.   That would put a smile on anyone’s face, even on a Monday!  My bag was made using the Designer Series Paper,  Sweet Sorbet.  This paper can be yours FREE (until March 31, 2014) with a $50 order!

My sentiment is from the set Yippee-Skippee (Wood 131341  Clear 131344) and I cut it out with one of the shapes in the Starburst Framelits dies from the Occasions Catalog (132967).

I tied it up with our Ruffle Stretch Trim in Crisp Cantaloupe (130021) and Whisper White Baker’s Twine (124262).  My thanks go to Angie Juda for this cute idea!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Family Time!

It has been a fun week with my family.  My husband, Mark,  our daughter, Jenny, and I  went wine tasting for the first time.  We had a delicious lunch and then did some wine tasting!  IMG_1163 IMG_1161 IMG_1156

Earlier in the week we took our granddaughter to the park.  I love this picture of Mark and Audrey walking up the hill.

Last night Jenny, Erin, Tyler, Audrey and I went out to dinner.  It is always fun to go out!  Audrey was hungry while we waited for our dinner, but she had a good time “coloring” with her crayons and putting them back in the box. So cute, but of course, I think everything that Audrey does is cute!!

Hello

helloToday I have a card for you using two new products from the Occasions catalog that I used for the first time on this card!  The first one is the Arrows Textured Impressions embossing folder (#132187).  At first I refrained from buying this folder but after seeing it used to make so many cute cards on the internet, I wanted to purchase it!

The second new item is my sentiment.  It comes from the set Simply Celebrate (see below) and it can be purchased in either wood (133221) or clear (133224).  I only wanted the “hello” part of the stamp, not the part that says, please take a seat.  In order to do this, I put blue painters tape – I had some sitting right there on my craft table but any tape will work – over the part I didn’t want on my card.  I inked the stamp up and pulled off the tape before stamping.   Have you tried this technique before?

Simply CelebrateMy Crisp Cantaloupe twine is from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack, which is a Sale-a-bration freebie and one that you can get FREE with a $50 purchase!

Get Better

Get Better_edited-1

Want to be able to make a quick and easy card?  I used the Happenings Simply Created Card Kit and make this card in about five minutes!!!  It comes with everything that you see below.  I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the two banners and adhered the white twine (can you see the pretty silver in it??) with glue dots to the silver button.

My mom has been sick recently so I decided to make this a get well card.  My sentiment comes from the set A Dozen Thoughts (wood #131056  clear #131059).  The sentiment actually say,  better get better, but I wanted my card to just say, get better.  So I covered the first “better” with some tape, added ink with my Strawberry Slush stamp pad, took the tape off and stamped on the white banner!  Easy!
