Color Me Christmas

Christmas WishesI love this stamp set, Color Me Christmas.  Do you love to color as much as I do?? I find it so relaxing.  Whenever you are going to color in an image using a blender pen or Aqua Painter, you want to use watercolor paper with Staz-On so that your colors won’t run.   I used my Stampin’ Markers and Aqua Painter to color each section.  When using water, you want to be sure that one section is dry before you start a section that will touch it. I used Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine along the top from one side to the other so that it would look as though my stockings are hung up.  The finishing touch was a little bow on each stocking again using the Baker’s Twine.  I attached the bows with glue dots that I compressed to make as small as possible. My sentiment is from the set Joy to the World.   The idea for this card came from Andrea Walford.  I am a member of her Paper Crafter’s Library and I love her ideas.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!

Oh What Fun!

Ornaments Oh What FunMy card today was inspired by one done by Mary Fish.  It is always fun to do cards that are shaped differently and I used my Scallop Circle Bigz Die for this one as well as the 3 1/2″ Circle Originals die. My ornaments are stamped using Christmas Collectibles and cut out with the Christmas Ornament punch, both from the Holiday catalog.  I decided to use Real Red as I’ve been using Cherry Cobbler on many of my cards lately (along with Gumball Green).  My sentiment is from the set Christmas Messages.  Did you notice that the rhinestone on the exclamation point is red??  I colored my rhinestone using a red permanent marker!   To finish the card, I hung my ornaments with our beautiful silver ribbon.

Don’t forget about our Holiday Sale!  It will be over in just a few days! You can look at the flyer HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
