Last week I received an adorable baby gift for my granddaughter, Audrey and today I created this card to send to her. What would we do without the kindness of others and the friendships that we have?
Hope you are having a wonderful day!!

Today I have a notepad holder to show you that I received from my friend, Kristina Dodson, at Convention. I feel so fortunate to have met her this year and I am already looking forward to seeing her again at our next convention in July! We live thousands of miles away but are still keeping in touch via email. She made this beautiful Notepad Cover with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. The flower is embossed with white embossing powder. Gorgeous!

This is another beautiful Convention swap that I received from Sheryl Wheatley. It isn’t even beginning to feel like Fall here in Central California. Our temperatures are still in the 90’s – UGH – and this card looks yummy enough to eat right now!!

I find it very funny that you can not really care for something and then completely fall in love with it. I did not care for this stamp set when I first saw it. After I started seeing so many projects with it, it became a set that I really, really wanted! And of course I had to purchase the Framelits to go with it. I was really happy that this set came in a bundle because I was able to save 15% on both the stamp set and Framelits (see page 29 in the Holiday Catalog). There are SO many different ways to use this set and this is my first card using it. My inspiration came from Stampin’ Success which is a magazine that demonstrators receive each month and it is filled with great ideas.
Have you ever thought about joining the Stampin’ Up! family? When I joined I only did it so I could get my discount on all their great products which I did for the first year. Now, three years later I am running several clubs, have a blog, attend Convention, have a Facebook page, joined Twitter . . . . . It is so much fun to share my love of papercrafting with others. If you have a wish list a mile long, you might want to think about becoming a demonstrator. Feel free to email me with questions. I had a million questions when I started thinking about it. I would love to have you on my team!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

The inspiration for this card came from fellow demo, Lisa Rodriguez, at Convention. She put on a wonderful event the day before Convention and made several projects for each of us using this stamp set, Wicked Cool. After seeing what she made I HAD to go buy the stamp set for myself. I love these colors together! Purple is my favorite color so any time I can use it in a card, I am a happy girl. I used the shimmer paint in my spritzer again but it is hard to see it in the photo. You can always double click on the picture to enlarge it.

This is a quick and easy project! On one side you can put a little treat such as candy or a gift card (I’m partial to iTunes gift cards) and on the other, a little note. There’s no adhesive required to assemble the holder. I chose to use some ribbon and a brad to hold it together but you could just use a brad. Using a 12 x 1 1/4 inch strip of DSP and another piece measuring 6 x 1 1/4 you can make the cute rosette. I simply used my Simply Scored and made scores at every 1/2 inch. Then I attached my two pieces together and folded it accordion style. While holding this piece, use your hot glue gun and spread some glue on the top part and immediately place it on the NEW Silicon Sheet (in the Holiday Catalog). Wait at least ten seconds and your glue and rosette will peel off the sheet. It is so cool!! Now shape it into a rosette and glue your ends together. If this is totally confusing, let me know and I can take some pictures.
I am very determined to start filming videos. Last night I did a tutorial (nothing that I would post as it was a practice one) and spent hours figuring out how to edit it. I think I’ve finally got the hang of it to at least make a video. So, I hope to get one made soon.
We are still on “baby alert” waiting for our granddaughter to be born. The excitement I feel is just so hard to keep inside – a new little person in our family! I feel so blessed that this is the year I decided to retire from teaching. I can take off at a moments notice to spend time with my granddaughter. I’m sure once she is born I will have some cute pictures to share!
Take Care,
Tracy
