I remember receiving my first Stampin’ Up! order in the mail. I was so excited but later became frustrated because I couldn’t open my stamp pads! Sounds silly now! Once you learn how to open them, it’s very easy! So, my video today is for the new Stampin’ Up! stamper!
Today I have another card I received in the mail! This one is from Ronda Wade who is also a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. The beautiful flowers are from the stamp set Remarkable You and the sentiment comes from the set, One Big Meaning.
Remarkable You Wood #139891 Clear #139894
One Big Meaning Wood #138788 Clear #139420
Ronda placed a small strip of black striped paper from the DSP pack Color Me Irresistible (#138439) behind the flowers. It might be hard to see but in person it really adds a nice touch!

There’s not a lot of room for any words that you might want to write, but you can always turn it over and write on the back.

Anyone who knows me knows I love my Apple products – my iPad, iPhone, iPod and Mac Computer. The iPhone takes such beautiful pictures that I rarely use my camera anymore. The iPad makes it so easy to take screen shots of anything I’m viewing. Of course it can be a curse too and I won’t tell you how many pictures I have on my devices! Between pictures of my grandchildren and card ideas . . . . . . . . . oh my.
The other day my husband and I were at a nursery that sits on several acres. As we walked past the daisy below, I backed up and really looked at it as I snapped a picture of it with my phone. The center is gorgeous! Purple is my favorite color and I think that is why I initially went back to look at it but the yellow flecks just add to its beauty. When I took the picture, the thought that went through my mind was that I’d used it as inspiration when I’m coloring a daisy for a card.
I saw this little birdie on Facebook yesterday while on my iPad. He brings a smile to my face.
Both of these photos remind me that there’s so much beauty around us. Sometimes we are so busy that we don’t stop to enjoy what’s right in front of us.
Speaking of beauty, I shall end my post with pictures of my two favorite little people and my mom. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Happy Saturday! I have another Quick Tip video for you today! In this one, I show you how I store all of my small embellishments.

Last week I mentioned that I had a few birthdays coming up and that I would need some gift card holders. I made small ones but the gift cards I purchased were attached to cardboard so I had to go back to the drawing board. Here’s one I made for my sister using my Envelope Punch Board and a piece of yummy Cucumber Crush from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.
And one for my brother-in-law using Smoky Slate from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.
Quick Tip: I used the stamp set, Remembering Your Birthday, for the gift card holder above. In the picture below, you can see the stamp I used in the lower right hand corner. I only wanted Happy Birthday, not “friends and fun and presents too” so I just inked up Happy Birthday. Usually when I do this, I have to cover the words I don’t want with a post it before I ink it, but the words are spaced far enough apart that it wasn’t necessary. More mileage out of your stamp sets!
You can see this same style gift card holder from a previous post here.
(Note: After writing and publishing this post, I took a shower – I do my BEST thinking in the shower. Anyway, it dawned on me that the gift card in the previous post that I mention above is not the same as the one in this post. I had to make adjustments for the larger size of the gift card. My paper size was 8-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ and I did my first score and punch at 3-3/8.)
Thanks for stopping by today!

I was unable to post on Saturday as we had family visiting over the weekend. We were busy every waking moment! We aren’t usually all together in one place so it was wonderful having my loved ones all in one spot! My youngest daughter, Erin, organized a family picture and I am so happy that she did! Here we are the last night of the visit!
We’ll all be together again in September for Audrey’s birthday. I can’t wait!
I am starting a new series called Quick Tip Videos! Today I’ll show you how I store my photopolymer stamps so that they take up less space in my craft room!

I’m going to be giving some gift cards very soon so I thought I’d share some gift card holders with you. I think I’m pretty easy to shop for because I LOVE gift cards! It’s so fun to go shopping with your gift cards in hand (whether it’s online or in a store). Guilt free shopping!!!
All of the holders are made using Bohemian DSP except for the one with the bees. That paper is from the English Garden DSP. My sentiments are from the same stamp set – Circle of Spring.
I’ll have a video later this week for this project!
