Birthday Blooms Gift Card Holder

I’ve been in a gift card making mood and have several more for you this week! But first, if you follow my blog, you know that for the last several months I’ve been posting Monday – Friday.  I wanted to let you know that I’m going to make a small change in my schedule and you can count on my posts Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.  I won’t be posting tomorrow but I’ll have one more way to package a gift card on Saturday.

On to today’s project!  This is a small card and will definitely fit into one of our Whisper White Medium Envelopes with some extra space. You could also tuck it inside a small gift bag and just forget the envelope!

As you can see from the picture, your gift card slides in to the pocket.

The sentiment sits on a scalloped oval which has Stampin’ Dimensionals along the bottom edge.  That way, the top flap can tuck underneath it.  Hopefully the picture helps in understanding this.

I used Party Animal Designer Series Paper to decorate the panels of the holder.  This paper is currently on the retiring list and on sale.  It’s normally $11.00 but you can get it, while supplies last, for $6.60!

Dimensions

Base:   8-3/4″ x 3-1/2″    score on long side at 3-1/4″ and 7-1/4″

(Use tear and tape to adhere the sides together to make a pocket)

Designer Series Paper:  3-1/4″ x 3″    and    3-1/4″ x 1-1/4″

Throwback Thursday

Throwback Thursday Dahlia

I really enjoy making these Dahlia flowers and I thought it would be fun to make one with paper in the Occasions catalog  for Throwback Thursday!  You can see a previous post here which also includes a tutorial.  Want to see two more samples? Click here (I love this paper and wish it was still available) and here.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!  Have a great day!

Product List – Click on any product below for more information or to place an order. Updated:  I realized that I forgot to list the most important punches that I used to create my flower:  1-3/4″ Circle Punch for the actual flowers and the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch (currently on the retirement list) for the base.

Stationary Kit Gifts

Recently I sent some gifts out to five special ladies and I thought I’d share them with you.  I began with our storage cases and slipped some of our gorgeous Designer Series Paper (DSP) inside.   I used Timeless Elegance DSP from the big catalog and  Birthday Bouquet from the Occasions catalog.  I wrapped each one up with coordinating ribbon.

Covered Stamp Cases

One goodie inside was a package of candy dots.  I placed them inside a Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bag.  I closed the bag shut with a Tea Lace Doily and a bow paper clip (from the Occasions catalog).  The sentiment comes from the stamp set Birthday Blooms which can also be found in the Occasions catalog.  You’ll find a list of my supplies at the end of the post.

Sketched Dots Gift Bags

Over the next few days I’ll share the rest of what I put inside!
