It’s time for the Glitter Queens Blog Hop! In honor of the 4th of July, our projects are all about Red, White and Blue! I hope you’ll visit all the Glitter Queens in the hop today!

At first I wasn’t sure what to create for this month’s theme but then inspiration hit and I created two cards! This first one uses the stamp set Ride with Me.  I don’t think I’ve ever purchased a truck stamp before but when I saw this stamp set, I just had to have it. So cute and so versatile!

I actually did two versions of the card. Which one do you prefer? The one with the red mat or no mat?

Ride With Me

I ran the Night of Navy cardstock through my die-cutting machine using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  After stamping the truck, I cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies, along with the mat behind it.  I wanted the balloons to look as though they were in the truck so I fussy cut the truck using my Paper Snips and I did the same thing to the balloons.  I used Snail to adhere the balloons to the truck and then added Dimensionals to the back of the truck.

And here’s my second card with a red, white and blue theme using the stamp set Over the Moon! I decided that the person with the pens in hand can color a blue cow if they want! I assumed this was a girl cow but then wondered, do girl cows have horns? Google came to the rescue – yes, some girls do have horns! As you can tell, I know nothing about cows but I love this one.

Over the Moon

I used our 6″ x 6″ Regals Designer Series Paper in Real Red (all the colors in the Regal collection are in this pack of paper).  The cutie pie cow was cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies and sits on a square cut from the Layering Squares dies. The coordination between these two dies makes them so versatile. Stampin’ Blends were used to color in both of my cards.  You can find the complete Supply List for both cards in the supply list below.
