I love the look of an embossed piece of cardstock. If I have the option to leave the cardstock “naked” or run it through the Big Shot, nine times out of ten, it’s going through the Big Shot! If you’ve thought about purchasing a Big Shot and have wondered if you’d really use it, I’m here to tell you that I can’t craft without it.  Well, that’s sort of an exaggeration but I love the machine and I really do use it daily and pretty much on every card or project.

The base of my card is Night of Navy cardstock with a beautiful piece of Soft Sea Foam on top.  The embossing folder I used is called Striped Scallops and the raised texture of the embossing is so pretty. The banner was made using Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and the Banner Triple Punch (you can insert three different widths into this punch:  1″, 1-1/2″ or 2″).

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Another Wonderful Year (it’s available in wood or clear mount).  I stamped it using Night of Navy ink and cut it out with the Layering Ovals Framelits. The layering pieces in Soft Sea Foam and Night of Navy were also cut out with these same Framelits. Quick and easy!
