All the Details For Today’s Project
Today’s bag is super easy to make! I especially like that it can stand up on it’s own. You can find all the measurements for the bag farther down in the post in case you’d like to make it. You’ll also find a Quick Tip video I made showing how to use the Needlepoint Elements Framelits (I used a die in this set for the sentiment) which coordinates with the Pretty Label Punch so be sure to check it out!
Making this bag is pretty straightforward. You’ll have four score lines with three very close together. You’ll want to fold the three that are close together as the picture below indicates. This fold allows the bag to stand up.
You’ll need a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock for the holder and after scoring and folding on the score lines, you’ll tape a 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Bag to the inside. Add Tear & Tape or another strong tape, along both sides of the bag (on the back) and attach it to the Lemon Lime Twist paper.
Glue two pieces of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper to the front and then fill the bag up. I simply folded the gusseted bag over and that way everything inside will stay nice and secure. You could always cut it down, if you prefer. I used a Library Clip to keep the bag closed.
I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock using the stamp set Butterfly Gala. I achieved the stitched look using the Needlepoint Elements Thinlits and then punched the sentiment out using the Pretty Label Punch. The video below will show you exactly how I did that! I finished it off with three sparkly Glitter Enamel Dots. Super easy!! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

- Whisper White: scrap for sentiment
