Last Friday I shared a card I made using the beautiful Designer Series Paper, Floral Boutique. You can see that post HERE.
Today I have a several more cards that use this same paper!

Here are the measurements I used:
Night of Navy cardstock (base of card): 11″ x 4-1/4″ scored @ 5-1/2″
Whisper White cardstock: 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″
Designer Series Paper: 2-1/4″ x 5″
I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits for each of the cards but the first two also use the Layering Ovals Framelits.
The 3rd and 4th card both also use the Layering Circles Framelits.
All of the cards today use the stamp set from the Oh Happy Day Card Kit. It really is a versatile set!

Today I have another treat holder and this one was created with the Envelope Punch Board. I would hate for someone to shy away from this product thinking that it’s just for envelopes! I make many more boxes with it than I do envelopes!

The candy I used for the inside is actually quite small but I was able to cram fit six of them inside.

It is quite easy to make these and I have a picture tutorial as well as a few more samples at the end of the post!
You need to start with a 6″ x 6″ piece of paper and an Envelope Punch Board. If you haven’t used the Envelope Punch Board before, for this project you only need to look at the measurements at the top of the board and know where to punch and score. You’ll push down where it says to punch in the picture and score along the groove. Easy!

Line up one side of your paper at the 2-1/8″ mark. Punch and score!

Move your paper over to the 3-7/8″ mark. Punch and score.

This is what your paper should look like.

Repeat this step on the remaining three sides. It will look like this when you’re done.

You’ll cut on the score lines indicated in the picture below. These will be your flaps. Fold on all of the score lines.

This is how the box will be folded up but first, add adhesive.

I’ve used Tear and Tape on the four flaps. Bring the sides up and create your box!

The box won’t stay shut by itself so the vellum band keeps it closed. Cut a piece of vellum 7-1/2″ x 2″. Score at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″, 5″ and 6-1/4″. Insert each end into the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. Wrap the vellum around the box and thread Baker’s Twine through the openings in the vellum. My sentiment was cut out with the Layering Ovals Framelits and slipped under the Baker’s Twine with a glue dot. I used the stamp set Birthday Blooms.
The Melon Mambo flower with a Brights Enamel Shape in the middle, was cut out using the Basket Builder Framelits Dies. It’s also attached with a glue dot.

I have to give credit to Jessica Walker, a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for being the inspiration for my project today.
If you make one of these easy boxes, I’d love to see your creation!!

I love it when I can make a pretty card quickly. That’s this card! The Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper is so beautiful that you really don’t have to add much else. Don’t you agree?
The base of my card is Night of Navy (11″ x 4-1/4″). I used Whisper White for the next layer (4″ x 5-1/4″) and the Designer Series Paper measures 5″ x 3-3/4″. The Daffodil Delight and Whisper White scallops were cut out with the Layering Oval Framelits. This is a great set of 16 Framelits that I use all the time.
The sentiment is from the Oh Happy Card Kit. The kit includes enough materials to make 20 different cards as well as this awesome photopolymer stamp set. The card kit is great but I will be honest and tell you that I bought the card kit so I could have the stamp set!

If you give this card a try, I’d love to see what you create!
Have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday!

If you follow my blog, you know that I love my Big Shot die-cutting machine and use it ALL. THE. TIME. You can do so much with it!
It embosses, cuts out letters, numbers, shapes, words, banners, and so much more. I used to shy away from purchasing intricate dies because they were a great big pain to use. Trying to get all of the little pieces to release from the die was almost impossible. Now with several tools, it’s easy!
One problem that exists though, is keeping all of those itty bitty pieces from making a mess of your craft table and floor. Easy solution! Contain it all in a box!

One of the really useful tools for releasing the small pieces from the die, is the die brush pictured in my box (when purchased, you receive the die brush and foam pad) and I keep it inside my box. Once I cut out a shape, I bring it over to this box, place it on top of the foam and roll the brush all over it. The pieces easily release and stay in the box!

Another Stampin’ Up! product I also use to cut out the intricate dies is the Precision Base Plate. Click here to head over to my Stampin’ Up! online store where you’ll find information about the plate and a video!
I hope this tip has been helpful! You’ll spend less time cleaning all of those intricate pieces off the floor and more time crafting!

Yesterday I shared a box filled with chocolate and today my project is the same box but I’ve added an opening to the front so the recipient can see the goodies inside! I used the Basket Bunch stamp set and matching Basket Builder Framelits Dies. If you’d like to see the tutorial for making the box, it can be seen HERE in yesterday’s post.
The opening was made using one of the 16 dies in the Layering Circle Framelits. This set also includes scalloped circles, like the one pictured below.

The next step is to add a piece of clear acetate or film over the opening. Be sure to add this BEFORE you assemble your box. Hmmm, wonder why I know that!?! Actually you can still maneuver a piece inside the box once you’ve assembled it but its trickier to do. You can use one of our Window Sheets for this step or in my case, I didn’t have any on hand but I did have some Clear Medium Envelopes and cut a piece of that. It worked fine!
My first box above, does have a covering over the opening and the one below doesn’t (I like it better when it is covered).

The sentiment is included in the same stamp set as the bunnies and eggs – Basket Bunch. The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White card stock with Memento Ink. Then I trimmed it to the size I wanted and added the notches at the end.

I love to see YOUR creations so please email me and share your box!
