I received a Center Panel Easel card in the mail from my friend, Dawn, who’s also a Stampin’ Up! demo (you can see her card below).  I decided to give this fancy fold a try!

There’s not a lot of room for any words that you might want to write, but you can always turn it over and write on the back.

Sunday Share

Anyone who knows me knows I love my Apple products – my iPad, iPhone, iPod and Mac Computer.  The iPhone takes such beautiful pictures that I rarely use my camera anymore.  The iPad makes it so easy to take screen shots of anything I’m viewing.  Of course it can be a curse too and I won’t tell you how many pictures I have on my devices! Between pictures of my grandchildren and card ideas . . . . . . . . .  oh my.

The other day my husband and I were at a nursery that sits on several acres.  As we walked past the daisy below, I backed up and really looked at it as I snapped a picture of it with my phone. The center is gorgeous!  Purple is my favorite color and I think that is why I initially went back to look at it but the yellow flecks just add to its beauty.  When I took the picture, the thought that went through my mind was that I’d used it as inspiration when I’m coloring a daisy for a card.

I saw this little birdie on Facebook yesterday while on my iPad.  He brings a smile to my face.

Both of these photos  remind me that there’s so much beauty around us.  Sometimes we are so busy that we don’t stop to enjoy what’s right in front of us.

Speaking of beauty, I shall end my post with pictures of my two favorite little people and my mom.  Have a wonderful Sunday!

More Gift Card Holders

Last week I mentioned that I had a few birthdays coming up and that I would need some gift card holders.  I made small ones but the gift cards I purchased were attached to cardboard so I had to go back to the drawing board.  Here’s one I made for my sister using my Envelope Punch Board and a piece of yummy Cucumber Crush from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.

And one for my brother-in-law using Smoky Slate from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.

Quick Tip:  I used the stamp set, Remembering Your Birthday, for the gift card holder above.  In the picture below, you can see the stamp I used in the lower right hand corner.  I only wanted Happy Birthday, not “friends and fun and presents too” so I just inked up Happy Birthday.  Usually when I do this, I have to cover the words I don’t want with a post it before I ink it, but the words are spaced far enough apart that it wasn’t necessary.  More mileage out of your stamp sets!

Remembering Your Birthday

You can see this same style gift card holder from a previous post here.

(Note:  After writing and publishing this post, I took a shower – I do my BEST thinking in the shower.  Anyway, it dawned on me that the gift card in the previous post that I mention above is not the same as the one in this post.  I had to make adjustments for the larger size of the gift card.  My paper size was 8-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ and I did my first score and punch at 3-3/8.)

Thanks for stopping by today!
