Today I have another FREE tutorial for you. I used Stampin’ Up! Let It Snow Designer Series Paper along with the stamp set Christmas Gleaming to create the card in the tutorial. To access your free tutorial which includes directions, photos, a supply list and measurements, click below.

On a side note, yesterday my daughter and son-in-law had to say goodbye to their precious dog, Jake. Losing an animal is never easy because they are our family. I cried a bucketload of tears yesterday. One day Jake was doing fine and the next, he was gone. He was the most gentle animal and full of so much love. Here’s a picture of Jake and my youngest grandson about a month ago. Go hug your furry loved ones and let them know how much they mean to you.

Today’s card uses another design from our Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. I think everyone loves it because it’s currently on backorder but should be back in stock next week. You can still add it your order and when it’s back in stock, it will ship separately.
When using this paper for the first time, my goal was to see what I could make with it that wasn’t about the holidays. If you missed my other cards using this paper, you can see them here, here and here.
The base of my card is Night of Navy and I combined it with Seaside Spray, one of our new In Colors this year. I used our Hammered Metal Embossing Folder to create the texture on the Seaside Spray cardstock. The Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper was cut out using our Stitched Shapes Dies. The Night of Navy scalloped square was created using our Layering Squares Dies. These two sets of dies coordinate perfectly together! The sentiment was stamped in Seaside Spray onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the Layering Ovals Dies. The Night of Navy scalloped oval was also cut out using these dies.

Today’s card fits into the quick and easy category. I used a base of Gorgeous Grape cardstock and paired it with Highland Heather. I used the stamp set, Kindness & Compassion along with Highland Heather ink for the sentiment and cut it out using the Layering Ovals Dies. Definitely an easy card to make and when you use beautiful paper, it doesn’t take much to create a beautiful card. I’ve included the measurements I used if you’d like to recreate today’s card!

- Gorgeous Grape cardstock: 11″ x 4-1/4 Score at 5-1/2″ and fold in half
- Highland Heather cardstock: 5-1/4″ x 4″

I’ve really been enjoying making cards with fall colors. I just wish the weather would cooperate where I live and show up with some fall weather! It’s suppose to be 101 today and tomorrow. Ugh. Thank goodness for air conditioners!
Today’s card features Come to Gather Designer Series Paper and the Gathered Leaves Dies. I learned something new while making this card! Our new 3D embossing folders will give a much deeper impression if the paper is first sprayed with a fine mist of water. I already knew that and to be honest, I’d prefer not to do this step and I usually don’t because I’m happy with the results I get not spraying my paper BUT what a difference it makes when you spray the paper first when using our Gathered Leaves Dies. Three of the leaves in the set will come out embossed when you run them through your die-cutting machine and if you spritz the paper first, you’ll love the results. Can you tell which one I spritzed with water before I cut it out?
It’s the one on the right! Big difference, don’t you think?
I also used the stamp set Gather Together for the sentiment which was stamped in Merry Merlot ink and cut out with the Stitched Nested Label Dies. After cutting my Pear Pizzazz and Pretty Peacock cardstock, I ran it through my die-cutting machine using the Mosaic embossing folder (I did not spritz the paper with water).
