Happy Monday!  I hope you had a nice weekend!  Mine was very busy babysitting my granddaughter and grandson.  It’s amazing how much energy a four year old (almost five) and a two year old have! I love spending time with these two precious people.

The two little ones are tucked in bed for the night so I’d like to share a card I made for my son-in-law’s birthday (I gave it to my mom to give to him).  I don’t make cards for men very often but when I sat down to create this for Tyler, I immediately thought of our Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack.   All of the paper from this collection make a great backdrop for a card.

The hardest part of making this card was deciding which paper design to use. The Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies were used to cut out Happy Birthday three times in Basic Black and glued all together using our Fine Tip Glue Pen.  You could any even more layers for added dimension.  I also used the Glue Pen to adhere it to the the front of the Designer Series Paper.  I stamped the sentiment onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Early Espresso ink and using my Paper Snips, I made a banner at one end.  I added some adorable Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back  and placed it under “Happy Birthday”!

I also added a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to the inside of the card.

You could use this layout with any paper that you already have.  The layering of Happy Birthday really creates a nice focal point!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
