Thinking of You

Today I have another card for you that we made at my Hostess Clubs last week.  I think this card is so pretty in person!  The leaves were embossed with clear embossing powder using the large flower in Betsy’s Blossoms.  I learned this technique at the Stampin’ Up! Conference from our co-founder Shelli Gardner (stamping an image with a stamp and then cutting it out with a different punch or die).  Then I used my Autumn Accents die, cut them out and popped them up with dimensionals.  Several of my stamp club attendees commented that they they liked the size of the card (7 x 3 1/4)! I too enjoy a card that isn’t the traditional size.  My greeting is from Sweet Essentials.

Greetings of the Season

Today is Election Day!  I voted last week (I actually always do an absentee ballot).

I love this card!  Normally I don’t care for a card that is all one color of cardstock but this one is so pretty in Crumb Cake.  I think the little bit of glitter on the pine needles finishes the card perfectly!  I visited Dawn Olchefske’s site and just had to CASE her card.  I have a few minor changes.  I passed this stamp set up – Watercolor Winter – but it is fast becoming a favorite of mine!  The stamp set that I used for my sentiment is Greetings of the Season. (Oops, sometimes even after editing numerous times we don’t see mistakes until we’ve read something the tenth time!  I meant to say that Watercolor Winter “didn’t speak to me” at first but after seeing so many beautiful cards made with it, I just had to have it!!)

Christmas Cheer

The Stampin’ Up! catalog is filled with card ideas!  We made this card at both of my Hostess Clubs this week  I found it on page 14 in the Holiday catalog but made a few changes – can you tell what they are?  It is a beautiful card, especially with the silver glimmer paper. If you are short on inspiration, take a look at the catalog!

Another Gum Holder

Today I have a different gum holder from yesterday and my inspiration came from Dannie Graves. The gum slides into this holder but it is very snug and won’t fall out. I used a small piece of paper from the Orchard Harvest pack – loving the fall colors! I also used the Day of Gratitude stamp set and colored my image with my Stampin’ Write markers. My ribbon isn’t used to hold it together but is decorative, a nice finishing touch! I was able to make this very quickly. If you were making several as a party favor, you would have them done in no time!

Gum Holder

I love making little holders for candy and today I have a holder for a pack of gum!! I found the template for this very easy to make holder on Connie Babbert’s blog.  She always has such great ideas.

My paper is from the pack Orchard Harvest and I love all of the colors in this particular paper (from the Holiday Catalog). I also used our new 1 1/4 inch Scallop circle punch (the Cajun Craze color).  My sentiment comes from one of my favorites – Fabulous Phrases.

Triple Time Birthday

Today’s card is one that I made for a friend whose birthday is today!  I sent this card to her several days ago and I sure hope she receives it on time  I love the Triple Time Technique and used it again on this card.  It is so easy to make a pretty card with it and it can be made rather quickly. The stamps I used are from the set Perfectly Preserved.  I love flowers and I stamped them all around the card in Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade.   The greeting is from the set Friendly Phrases.  I hope my friend likes it!!
Congratulations to Diana!  She won the set, Scentsational Season.  I will mail your new stamp set tomorrow!

Blog Candy DEADLINE Today!!

Today is the last day to be entered into my drawing for the stamp set Scentsational Season!!  Read all about it in my blog post HERE.  My card today uses one of the cute stamps in the set.  The DSP (Designer Series Paper) that I used is from a great little stack of 48 sheets of 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″  paper called Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.  There are 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.  It is acid-free so that is a plus for scrapbookers. Many of the prints are great for the holidays but there are quite a few that could be used for any occasion! This stack of paper can be found in the Holiday Catalog on page 20.

You can visit my online store HERE to place an order.  You can also download SU! catalogs – you can find them on the left hand side of my blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I will announce the winner of my blog candy on Wednesday!! Good luck!!

Ornament Keepsakes Card

My card today uses the stamp set, Ornament Keepsakes, and the Holiday Ornaments Framelits which are both part of the October Promotion going on now! Follow this link to see the details! I also used the new embossing folder, Holiday Frame.  I started with a piece of Gumball Green cardstock for the base of my card.  I stamped my ornaments on Very Vanilla and used my framelits to cut them out.  I added dimensionals to the back of each ornament and attached them to the embossed Very Vanilla cardstock.  Some rhinestones were added to each ornament for some sparkle! The card came together very quickly and looks very striking in person (sorry if it is a bit dark).

If you would like to order any of these supplies, you can visit my online store here.  Email me if you have any questions at all!
