Convention!!

It’s Convention time in Salt Lake City! I’m getting ready to board a plane in about an hour! I’ve spent weeks working on my swaps and I still haven’t finished! Yikes! Looks like my evenings will be a bit busy finishing them up. My daughter Erin was visiting this week and she helped me every chance she could with my swaps! Thank you, Erin!!!! I will be taking lots and lots of pictures while I’m at Convention and will post them in the coming weeks. I’m not sure if I can do it on my iPad so I will have to wait until I get home! Have a wonderful week!! Tracy

Another Tie Card

Happy Monday!  Here is another Origami Tie card.  I used Summer Smooches DSP for my tie with Island Indigo for the shirt.  I attached the shirt to Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I thought the shirt looked very blah so of course, I ran it through my Big Shot, as I did with my card yesterday.

Have a great rest of the day and thank you for stopping by!

Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there!  My card today could be used as a Father’s Day card or a birthday card for your favorite guy. My Stamp Club group made this card this week in honor of Father’s Day.  My wonderful father passed away in October 2009 and this is the first time since then that I’ve been able to make a card for my group at this time of year.  Time certainly helps but it is still such an awful empty feeling.  I have wonderful memories of my dad. I never, ever doubted his love for me.  Here’s a picture of me with my dad and my daughters.  It was 25 years ago but I love it.  I was living in Florida at the time and my dad came out to visit us on my birthday.

If you’ve lost your dad, I hope your memories are helping you today.  If you still are able to enjoy your dad, let him know how much you love him!

Tomorrow I will have another version of my Origami Tie card.  If you want to know how to make one, just google origami tie and lots of directions will pop up.  If you can’t find one, just let me know and I will post a link.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Cute Heart Framelits Bear

How cute is this little guy??!!! He was pretty easy to make using the new Hearts Framelits and several punches.  I saw him on my upline’s blog, Dawn Griffith.  She sent me a smaller version and I knew I just had to make one for myself.
On June 8th, I will be officially retired from teaching.  I’ve taught for 22 years and it still seems a bit unreal that in a little over three weeks, I won’t have a classroom. The school I am currently teaching at opened up ten years ago and I was one of the “original” teachers.  It will be very sad to leave but I am excited about spending time with my family and the arrival of my granddaughter, Audrey, in September!  I’m also looking forward to creating many Stampin’ Up! projects that I will have time to post on my blog!! Yahoo!!
Have a great rest of the week and thank you for stopping by!!

Retiring Stamp Sets

The retired list is out!!!  There are so many wonderful sets on this list!  Be sure to get your favorites by May 31st because they will be gone forever!  You can download the list HERE.  One of my very favorite sentiments that is retiring is Short and Sweet on page 166.  It fits just perfectly in the large oval punch.

Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Everybunny

I’ve been trying so hard to post on a regular basis but it just has been difficult the past few weeks.  The card I am showing you today is going into the mailbox for my son-in-law as soon as I finish this post.  My daughter will be visiting us next week but Tyler won’t be able to make it so I am sending him this card along with a gift card tucked inside.  I had a hard time making an Easter card for a male that wasn’t too frilly.  I did use my scallop circle punch because otherwise I was afraid it wouldn’t be cute enough and I CAN’T have that!!!  🙂

I used the stamp set Everybunny which is in the Idea Book and Catalog.  It is a cute set.  I used watercolor paper and colored my chick with watercolor crayons after I stamped the image with Staz-On.  The sentiment is also from the same set.  It actually said,”Happy Easter Everybunny” but I didn’t want the words everybunny so I used my Pacific Point Marker directly over the words Happy Easter directly.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Only TWO MORE DAYS until Sale-a-bration goes away until next year!  If you would like to place an order, you can visit my Stampin’ Up! website 24/7.

Take Care,
Tracy

Heart Flower

Hi Stampers,
As promised, here is another card with the same flower that I posted on Monday.  I used Lucky Limeade and Pool Party.  I would never have used these colors together but they are in the Everyday Enchantment DSP and look so pretty together. It is so funny but sometimes it takes me hours to do JUST ONE CARD. I try so many different color combinations until I decide on the ones I want to use. This color or that, emboss with the Big Shot, ribbon???  These are the questions that go through my mind.  I wasn’t sure if I wanted ribbon but as you can see, I went with the crochet ribbon.  Still not quite sure if I really needed it.  So, if you find that you take an inordinate amount of time for one card, you are not alone!!!

Thank you for stopping by!  Hope your week is going well!

Card for a Friend

Happy Monday!  Hope you had a nice weekend and didn’t feel too tired this morning.

My card is one that I am giving to a friend today to thank her for several surprise gifts she has given to me recently.  Hope she likes it!  I have bling on the sentiment because she LOVES bling!! This was a very easy card to put together.  The hardest part was figuring out what colors I wanted to use.  The flower was made using my Heart punch and the Everyday Enchantment DSP (if you are in my Hostess Club, we are going to make one of these flowers at our next meeting).  Did you notice the cute fabric covered brad in the middle??  It is a sneak peek and you’ll be able to order it on April 1st!!! On Wednesday I will have the same card but with different colors and paper so be sure to stop by!

Quilted Hello

Can you tell that I love this Everyday Enchantment paper??!!  It is available through Sale-a-bration only until March 31st.  I love the colors in all of the paper in this pack and will be so sad to see it go.  The inspiration for my card today came from fellow demonstrator, Dawn Olchefske.  I used the Postage Stamp punch for each of my squares.  I glued my squares onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock which then went onto a piece of  Poppy Parade cardstock.  The base of my card is Lucky Limeade.  I made the bow with my Lucky Limeade Ruffled ribbon.  The Calypso Coral organdy ribbon that I have going through the button was another freebie that I received in the Sale-a-bration catalog. It comes with 1 roll of Lucky Limeade and 1 roll of Calypso Coral ribbon AND 30 printed Designer brads!  They can be yours as well with a $50 order, before tax and shipping. My hello was stamped with the set Tiny Tags and then punched out with the Jewelry Tag punch.  I put a glue dot on the tag and put it underneath my bow.

One hour less today to get things done but it will be so nice when it stays light later!  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Sneak Peek!

I have a Sneak Peek for you today!  This cute little purse was made using the new Petite Purse Bigz die for the Big Shot.   It will be available from April 1st until April 30th  as a Sneak Peek offer.  It will go away but then be available on June 1st in the new 2012-2013 Idea Book and Catalog.  It is very cute. I can see one for each guest at a baby shower (I’ve had baby showers on my mind since finding out I am going to be a grandma for the first time!!!) or just a fun way to give a little treat to someone.  To give you an idea how big it is, I have 7 chocolate eggs inside. I put a button on the front and right below it is a little tab that tucks into a slit.  The paper I used is Everyday Enchantment.  This pack of beautiful paper can be yours free with a $50 order (before shipping/tax) but only until March 31st!!  If you would like to place an order, click here!

Have a wonderful Saturday night and don’t forget to put your clock ahead one hour before you go to bed!

March Thank You Cards

This is my March thank you card for anyone who places an order with me.  It is a 3×3 card using the Blossom punch in the Occasions Mini.  I punched the flower out in Daffodil Delight and then ran it through my Big Shot.  The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry as well as the Scallop Oval.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite sets, Short and Sweet!

Thank you for stopping by!!

Friend Box

Hi Friends!
Here is a quick box you can make with your Big Shot and the Bigz XL Box #2 die.  I used Berry Blossoms DSP.  You only need to add a small amount of Sticky Strip and the box folds in very easily.  My sentiment is from You’re a Gem stamped with Lucky Limeade Ink using the Large Oval punch.  I used dimensionals and punched a Scallop Oval in Wisteria Wonder.  I wrapped it with Whisper White 5/8 inch Organza ribbon, which is my favorite ribbon to use.  The rhinestones add a bit of sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by!  The weekend is almost here!
