Each year Stampin’ Up! has a new theme and a video/song to accompany it which they show at Convention. The theme this year is “i am.” and in the video you can see Stampin’ Up! employees at the home office lip syncing the song. Shelli Gardner, the co-founder, is also in the video. She is in the section where you see three women wearing shirts made from Stampin’ Up! material. The material is also behind them. Shelli is right after them. The cool thing is that we were watching the video at convention and then at the end some of the dancers and the singer came on the stage which was a surprise. You can see this in the video. They will pan the audience and you can “see” thousands of demonstrators, one of which was me! This song is in my head – I am singing it constantly. As you watch it, think how you would answer the question, ” I am __________.”
I can’t wait to go to Convention next year. It will mark the 25th anniversary of Stampin’ Up! Join SU! and we can go to Convention together! If you would like more info, please email me!
Thanks for stopping by!

I left Salt Lake City yesterday afternoon. It certainly was hard to leave all of that excitement! I took hundreds of pictures which will be fun to go back and look at to help me remember the fabulous time i had!! I’m at my mom’s house where we will be celebrating my daughter’s birthday today. I missed it while at convention. She turned 31 and we will have a fun celebration tonight!!! Then we will head home tomorrow. Can’t wait to get back into my stamp room!
Every day at convention we have a least one general session where all the demonstrators get together. Here’s a picture of the stage.

They have huge screens all over so that you can see the presenters on stage. All of the demonstrators in attendance yesterday received the free stamp set, Moving Forward. So much fun! If you purchase this stamp set, Stampin’ Up! donates $3.00 of the proceeds to Ronald McDonald’s House Charities. You can find it on the back page of the catalog.

There are many, many displays of products and cards. I love their fabric which is used in the photo below. These flowers were made using a Big Shot die!

Here’s my 3×3 swap. Once I get home I will share many of the swaps I received.

Thank you for stopping by!!

Today is the last day of convention and I am sad that it is almost over. Back to real life tomorrow!
Many items from the Holiday catalog (which goes live on August 1st) were highlighted this week. Here is a picture of some leaves that were made with a new Big Shot die called Autumn Accents and our new Champagne glitter paper which looks BEAUTIFUL in person!

I will be purchasing both of these products!!

This top card was one of my swap cards and I made 112 of them. I love the combination of these two new colors together (Midnight Muse and Gumball Green). The bottom card is another variation. It is a bit more labor intensive so I opted with the top one for my actual swap.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll post my other swaps tomorrow! Have a great day!

Yesterday I participated in a swap of 3×3 cards. I made 160 of them but received 160 back! I was too tired last night to look at them – it was a busy day! Today I am participating in a card front swap but only (only???) made 45 of them. Here they are laid out on my bed. The pretty colors are not showing up on my photo.

Here’s a bag that I purchased in Memento Mall – I LOVE all of these colors!

I’m off to day 3 of convention!!! Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!!

It’s Convention time in Salt Lake City! I’m getting ready to board a plane in about an hour! I’ve spent weeks working on my swaps and I still haven’t finished! Yikes! Looks like my evenings will be a bit busy finishing them up. My daughter Erin was visiting this week and she helped me every chance she could with my swaps! Thank you, Erin!!!! I will be taking lots and lots of pictures while I’m at Convention and will post them in the coming weeks. I’m not sure if I can do it on my iPad so I will have to wait until I get home! Have a wonderful week!! Tracy

Happy Monday! Here is another Origami Tie card. I used Summer Smooches DSP for my tie with Island Indigo for the shirt. I attached the shirt to Daffodil Delight cardstock. I thought the shirt looked very blah so of course, I ran it through my Big Shot, as I did with my card yesterday.
Have a great rest of the day and thank you for stopping by!

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there! My card today could be used as a Father’s Day card or a birthday card for your favorite guy. My Stamp Club group made this card this week in honor of Father’s Day. My wonderful father passed away in October 2009 and this is the first time since then that I’ve been able to make a card for my group at this time of year. Time certainly helps but it is still such an awful empty feeling. I have wonderful memories of my dad. I never, ever doubted his love for me. Here’s a picture of me with my dad and my daughters. It was 25 years ago but I love it. I was living in Florida at the time and my dad came out to visit us on my birthday.
If you’ve lost your dad, I hope your memories are helping you today. If you still are able to enjoy your dad, let him know how much you love him!
Tomorrow I will have another version of my Origami Tie card. If you want to know how to make one, just google origami tie and lots of directions will pop up. If you can’t find one, just let me know and I will post a link.
Thank you for stopping by today!

How cute is this little guy??!!! He was pretty easy to make using the new Hearts Framelits and several punches. I saw him on my upline’s blog, Dawn Griffith. She sent me a smaller version and I knew I just had to make one for myself.
On June 8th, I will be officially retired from teaching. I’ve taught for 22 years and it still seems a bit unreal that in a little over three weeks, I won’t have a classroom. The school I am currently teaching at opened up ten years ago and I was one of the “original” teachers. It will be very sad to leave but I am excited about spending time with my family and the arrival of my granddaughter, Audrey, in September! I’m also looking forward to creating many Stampin’ Up! projects that I will have time to post on my blog!! Yahoo!!
Have a great rest of the week and thank you for stopping by!!

The retired list is out!!! There are so many wonderful sets on this list! Be sure to get your favorites by May 31st because they will be gone forever! You can download the list HERE. One of my very favorite sentiments that is retiring is Short and Sweet on page 166. It fits just perfectly in the large oval punch.
Have a wonderful Sunday!!

I’ve been trying so hard to post on a regular basis but it just has been difficult the past few weeks. The card I am showing you today is going into the mailbox for my son-in-law as soon as I finish this post. My daughter will be visiting us next week but Tyler won’t be able to make it so I am sending him this card along with a gift card tucked inside. I had a hard time making an Easter card for a male that wasn’t too frilly. I did use my scallop circle punch because otherwise I was afraid it wouldn’t be cute enough and I CAN’T have that!!! 🙂
I used the stamp set Everybunny which is in the Idea Book and Catalog. It is a cute set. I used watercolor paper and colored my chick with watercolor crayons after I stamped the image with Staz-On. The sentiment is also from the same set. It actually said,”Happy Easter Everybunny” but I didn’t want the words everybunny so I used my Pacific Point Marker directly over the words Happy Easter directly.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Only TWO MORE DAYS until Sale-a-bration goes away until next year! If you would like to place an order, you can visit my Stampin’ Up! website 24/7.
Take Care,
Tracy
