So many Stampin’ Up! products are retiring to make room for new products! If you’ve missed any of my posts about my favorite retiring products, you can click the links below:
Today’s retiring product is the Paper-Piercing Tool. I have several of these but since they will be gone soon, I bought more to have on hand.
I don’t know how long this tool has been around but when I joined Stampin’ Up!, ten years ago, I bought one. The look of it has changed since my first one but it’s still the same great tool. In the past I’ve used it to pierce tiny holes in my cardstock but today I mainly use my paper-piercing tool to pick up small embellishments such as rhinestones, to pick up a corner of Tear & Tape adhesive once it’s adhered to my cardstock and it’s great for poking out pieces of intricate dies.
Stampin’ Up! does sell the Take Your Pick tool (this product is NOT retiring) which is a replacement for the Paper-Piercing Tool. It has a tacky putty tip for picking up sequins and other small objects and the other end has two changeable, double-ended tips which includes a paper-piercer, mini spatula and a small & large stylus. In the new catalog debuting June 4th, a new tip will be available – the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip!
I own one of our Take Your Pick tools but personally I like the sharp point of the retiring Paper-Piercing Tool. Its super sharp pointed end and the design of the tool makes me reach for it over and over again.
If you think you’ll be making holes with either of these tools, a perfect accompaniment is the Stampin’ Pierce Mat to protect your surface. The mat is NOT retiring.
