I used the stamp set Hello Cupcake from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration brochure to share with you today! To create my card, I started by stamping the cupcake liner in Crumb Cake onto Whisper White cardstock. On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the frosting in Berry Burst. After inking up the stamp, I stamped onto my grid paper first and then stamped onto the piece of Whisper White. There was too much ink when I went directly to the paper. This technique is called “stamping off”.
The base of the card is Thick Whisper White and the next layer is Berry Burst. I added a strip of new paper coming soon in the Occasions Catalog, All My Love, to the left side of the Berry Burst. If you’d like to make today’s card, you’ll find a list of the measurements I used at the end of the post.
I fussy cut the frosting with my Paper Snips which are wonderful scissors. They are super sharp and make it easy to cut out small pieces. Believe me when I say they are really sharp. I used a pair to cut some Tear & Tape. I actually have two pairs of Paper Snips and one is dedicated for sticky jobs but I grabbed the wrong pair. I used Goo Gone to clean them and really wasn’t paying attention to the fact that I had SHARP scissors in my hand and got a nice little slice out of my finger. Needless to say, they are a good investment!
I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the frosting. It makes the cupcake definitely look fancier! I stamped the sentiment, included in the Hello Cupcake stamp set, with Memento Ink. This piece was then adhered to a piece of Sparkle Glimmer Paper. If I had to do it again, I might make that piece a little bigger so that more of the sparkle would show through. I added more Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Sparkle Glimmer Paper before attaching it to the card. It’s really a quick and easy card to make!
The stamp set Hello Cupcake is not yet in the system I use for my list of products and because of that is not listed below. All My Love Designer Series Paper will be available on January 3, 2019 but the rest of the supplies can be purchased today.
