I’ve been a little quiet lately. I’ve been back at my mom’s house for ten days now and my sister and I are still going through the house getting it ready to sell. My mom and dad lived on a big piece of property and there are quite a few improvements that need to be made, inside the house and outside. I had movers come on Thursday to take my favorite pieces to my house (I wish I could have taken so much more). We’re making progress slowly but surely but it’s been a very emotional roller coaster. While I was home, I made a lot of cards to blog but some days, I find it hard to sit down at my computer. Anyway, I just wanted you to know why my posts have been sporadic.
Today’s card was created using the Rustic Crate stamp set. The Rustic Crate Bundle which includes the Rustic Crate stamp set and Rustic Crate Dies is also available but I didn’t use the dies for this particular card. I also used the Deckled Circles Dies, the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder, All About Autumn Designer Series Paper (currently not available but I have a substitute) and the So Sincere stamp set.
I started with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock for the base of my card. Then I embossed a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Before adhering it to the front of the card, I cut a piece of All About Autumn Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the embossed Pumpkin Pie cardstock. All About Autumn Designer Series Paper is on backorder and is estimated to be available the week of October 23rd but I think a very nice substitute would be a piece of the Brights Designer Series Paper in Pumpkin Pie.
I used the Deckled Circles Dies to cut a circle out of Early Espresso cardstock and a smaller one out of Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped the pumpkins and sunflowers in Memento Ink onto the Very Vanilla circle and then colored it with these Stampin’ Blends: Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Pecan Pie. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink using the stamp set, So Sincere. I then adhered the Very Vanilla circle to the Early Espresso circle, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.
To complete my card, I added three Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins to the front of the card and I added a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to the front.

Thank you for stopping by today!
Tracy, it sounds as though you and your sister are making progress on this very time-consuming project. It’s very difficult to dispose of things we love. It’s great you can get some large pieces moved to your home. Today’s card is gorgeous! I love the beautiful All About Autumn DSP. Your coloring of the flowers/pumpkins is awesome. Take care!
Hilda, we are making progress which is good! As you said, it’s very hard to dispose of things you love. I’m so thankful that I was able to take some of our parents furniture. Thank you so much for your nice comments about my card.
Thank you for sharing the fall/thanksgiving card.
Many years ago, my sister and I had to do the same thing
you are doing now, at your parents house. It’s hard.
Blessings to you and your sister.
Mary Katherine, as you said, it’s so darn hard. We all have to do it at some point in our lives but this is an experience I will never forget.
Love this card
Great Job
Thanks so much, Bea!
Beautiful card Tracy!
We are going thru the same, getting my parents ready to sell.
We (myself and 5 siblings) were told not to worry about making any improvements to the house because the people that bought the house would probably want to change it to fit there own style! And you probably wouldn’t get your money back on the improvements!
Something to think about!
Thank you for your nice comment about my card. I’m sorry you and your siblings are going through this too.We all have to do it at some time but it’s all so hard. We just had a meeting with our realtor about the same things you just talked about. My sister and I have some decisions to make! Take care!
Good luck to you and your sister!
I love this card! Autumn time and autumn colors are some of my favorites.
Best wishes to you and your sister as you navigate the hardest of hard decisions. It is almost as though you are losing your parents again by closing the final chapter of their lives. Wishing you all good things and lovely memories as you and your sister reminisce the lives of your parents.
Every card you make looks great to me. I do enjoy your cards and your blog. I know how are hard it is to clean out your mom’s house. Everywhere you look it reminds you of her. One day at a time is all you can do. The fall card is especially pretty to me. I love the fall.
Thinking of you Tracy! Thanks for all you do…..even in the hard times!
The embossed Pumpkin Pie cardstock is such a perfect backdrop for this sweet card Tracy.
Thank you, Kylie!I love my embossing folders! Happy Belated Anniversary to you and Bruno!
