I’m featuring the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper this week and all my projects will use this gorgeous paper! Today’s card also features the Tailored Tag Punch which made creating this card very easy!
To create my card, I punched out shapes using Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and the Tailored Tag punch. Using the stamp set Accented Blooms (which coordinates with the Tailored Tag punch) I stamped the “Hello” sentiment onto Whisper White paper using my Fresh Fig stamp pad. Sometimes it’s hard to get complete coverage with this type of stamp so I used the Stamparatus. Using this stamp positioning tool and the super strong magnets that come with it, I was able to keep my paper in one spot while I stamped the image several times. Before the Stamparatus, I’d waste a lot of paper because it would take so many tries before I achieved the look I wanted. I love it when I own a tool that makes my stamping easier! Before I glued down any shapes, I laid them all out so I could see where I wanted them all to be. When I was happy with the layout, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and attached it to a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measured 5-1/4″ x 4″. Then I started adding the Petal Promenade shapes using Snail adhesive. Once I had most of them on, I turned the paper over and snipped off the pieces that were hanging over my paper. At that point, I had some small areas that needed to be filled and I was able to use some of the shapes I had cut off (it’s almost like doing a puzzle). I did have to cut a few extra shapes out to finish the smaller areas. I glued the finished piece to the front of a 11″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Fresh Fig (scored at 5-1/2″). The Petal Promenade paper really is the star of this card!
