Today’s card was created using Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper, the stamp set, Framed Occasions, assorted Stampin’ Blends, Beautiful Shapes Dies and Stitched Rectangle Dies.
I was looking through the Annual Catalog and saw a card on page 119 that I just loved. I kept wondering what stamp set was used on the card and then realized it was Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper! So I immediately grabbed my pack of paper and a handful of Stampin’ Blends and got to work!
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock for the base of my card. Then I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card. I used these same dies to cut a smaller rectangle out of a piece of Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper. I colored the Designer Series Paper using these Stampin’ Blends:
- Sweet Sorbet
- Granny Apple Green
- Balmy Blue
- Pumpkin Pie
- Daffodil Delight
At first I was using both my Light and Dark Blends in Sweet Sorbet and Granny Apple Green but realized I only needed to use the Light Blend. This design has dark areas that when you color them (with a “Light” Stampin’ Blend), it looks like you’re an expert with shading so there’s no need to use the Dark Blend, unless you want it to be even darker.
After I finished coloring, I adhered the piece to the Granny Apple Green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink using the stamp set, Framed Occasions and then cut it out using the Beautiful Shapes Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the card front. It was hard knowing where to put it because I didn’t want to cover up any of my coloring! To complete my card, I added five rhinestones to the front of the card.

This week I’ll be sharing several cards using the Basic Borders Dies. These dies add an interesting element to any card!
Today’s card was also created using Rings of Love Designer Series Paper. This paper can be earned free with a $50 purchase and it’s only available until Wednesday, August 31st! I LOVE this paper and really wish it wasn’t going away.
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and then used the Basic Borders Dies to cut the scalloped border. Then I cut a piece of Rings of Love Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink using the the stamp set, Go To Greetings.
Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and ran it through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered it to a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and then placed it on the card front. I used the Beautiful Shapes Dies to cut a circle out of Basic White cardstock and then used my Paper Snips to cut a house out of the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper which I then adhered to the Basic White circle. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the circle and adhered it to the card.
To complete my card, I used two pieces of Linen Thread to create a bow and placed a Mini Glue Dot in the center before adhering it to the house. You can find all the measurements I used to create today’s card below the Supply List.

Today’s card was made using one of the FREE Sale-a-Bration gifts you can earn with a $50 purchase – the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder. This folder is available as a Sale-a-Bration gift until August 31, 2022 or while supplies last. This product is in the Annual Catalog so there are two different product numbers. To create my card, I started with a piece of Pool Party cardstock for the base of my card and then adhered a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside. Next, I cut another piece of Basic White cardstock and set it aside (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List).
Next, I opened the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and on the side that is “indented” I brushed Pool Party ink over the entire area using a Blending Brush. Then I placed my Basic White cardstock inside the folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Believe me, this is addicting when you see what you can create!
Before adhering this layer to the card base, I wrapped a piece of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around the cardstock and tied a knot.
I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Pool Party ink and the stamp set, Framed Occasions. Then I cut it out using the Beautiful Shapes Dies which coordinate with this stamp set. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the card. To complete the card, I added three Iridescent Pearls.
