Peekaboo Peach Notepad

Hi Friends!

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend!  We are still experiencing warm weather, low 90’s, and I am very ready for some fall weather.

Today I’m sharing a 3″ x 5″ notepad.  I used Peekaboo Peach for the cover of the notepad along with Whisper White and finished it off with a piece of Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper.  While creating this I kept trying to bring in a complimentary color but I wasn’t happy with any of the combinations and decided to go with a monochromatic look.

I used the Layering Ovals Framelits for my sentiment.  These are currently on sale until Wednesday for 25% off.  They rarely go on sale so I’d say go for it if you’ve been thinking about purchasing them! The butterfly is one of two butterflies in the Bold Butterfly Framelits.  I couldn’t resist adding a few rhinestones for some sparkle.

I sponged Peekaboo Peach around the edges of the scalloped piece.  I was surprised by how dark it looked, actually pleasantly surprised.  My sentiment is part of the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit (a kit with all the supplies to make 20 cards and a stamp set).

In My Thoughts

You're in My Thoughts

My granddaughter turned three on Friday and we had a family get together on Saturday to celebrate!  My mom and sister drove down on Wednesday and left yesterday.  We had fun being together and we were busy every day! It is always so sad when family leaves. My daughter sent this to me and it sure does put the sadness into perspective.

I haven’t been in my craft room for days but today I have a card that I made several weeks ago for a friend.  It’s hard to tell in the picture but I used Rich Razzleberry and Pacific Point for the layers and I sponged the flowers with both of these colors as well.  The butterfly is also made from Rich Razzleberry using the Bold Butterfly Framelits. I used one of our new embossing folders in the annual catalog called Elegant Dots.

Flowers up close

I used the Petite Petals punch and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.   Sponge Daubers were used to add ink to the edges of the flowers and I finished them off with a pearl in each center (I used two different sizes).

My sentiment is from the host set Best Thoughts.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up & South Hill Designs

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but in addition to being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I also sell South Hill Designs products. As I was making today’s card, I immediately thought how easy it would be to make a locket to match.

SHD SU locket

Inside the Silver Tone Crystal locket are our beautiful birthstone Swarovski crystals surrounding a silver crystal butterfly.  The chain (my absolute favorite) is called the Multifaceted Link Chain.  If you would like to see more SHD products, click here.

Onto my card! The inspiration for this card comes from Donna Mikasa for Hero Arts.  I made a Stampin’ Up! version.

Butterfly Thank you

I embossed a small section of Whisper White cardstock with the new Elegant Dots embossing folder. After cutting out three butterflies with the Bold Butterfly Framelits, I sponged the upper section of each with a sponge dauber and my stamp pads in Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo.  I popped each one up with a piece of Stampin’ Dimensional (the part of the dimensionals that you might throw away, around the perimeter). My sentiment comes from the host set, Best Thoughts.

The supplies I used are listed below.  If you would like more information about a product or you’d like to place an order, simply click on a picture below.
