Happy Friday!
Quick post to let you know that due to supplier issues, the Handheld Stapler (item 139083) and coordinating Silver Mini Staples (item 135847) will be discontinued after current inventory runs out. I LOVE this stapler because the staples are small and it works great with crafting projects. If you’ve been on the fence about it, I would order one today. Personally, I am going to stock up on the staples! Click here to place your order.
Today I have another way to use your stamps – in your planner or for list making! I have a small notebook that I use for my to do list. I was trying to think of a way to jazz it up a bit and thought, why not use a small stamp instead of a dot beside each item. I don’t know about you but I tend to not even see the small stamps in a set. I went looking through my stash and this is what I came up with.
I used the Foxy Friends stamp set in the picture below. It does take up two spaces but I’m ok with that since it is SO CUTE!

Another idea using the stamp set Jar of Love.

And this one uses Garden in Bloom.

Just another way to use your stamps! Look through your stamp sets and really look for those small stamps! You may be surprised at what you find. Have a terrific weekend!

Today is my friend Kristina’s birthday. We met three years ago at a Stampin’ Up! convention. Last year we went up on the stage together for her 10th Stampin’ Up! anniversary and my 5th. I was very nervous about going up there but it was special because we did it together. The second picture is from several years ago. Happy Birthday, Kristina!

My card today uses the stamp set Garden in Bloom. Although you can use an outline for the flower, I chose to just use the “inside” part (see the picture below of the stamp set).

After stamping, I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder. My sentiment comes from the stamp set Cottage Greetings. I used the Lots of Labels Framelits and sponged each piece with Daffodil Delight. I finished it off with a little bow using Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim.
I will be back later and add the supply list.

Today’s card is quick and easy! I used the stamp set Garden in Bloom which comes with flowers, leaves, butterflies, sentiments and a bee! It is a 2 step stamping set – you use two stamps to create one image. In this case, I stamped the outline of my flower in Rose Red. Then I used a different stamp for the center. I inked the stamp up, stamped it on scratch paper and then stamped it inside my flower. The leaves were stamped in this same way. I stamped the body of the bee with Memento ink and then inked up the small oval (right next to the bee in the picture below) in Daffodil Delight and stamped right on top of the bee. Easy!!

As I’m writing this post, it is 5:00 pm and 108 degrees outside. UGH. It does get very hot where I live in California but we usually don’t hit three digits. California is going through a severe drought and in my area we are only allowed to water our lawns twice a week. Our beautiful lawn isn’t faring very well and this extremely hot weather isn’t helping. Tomorrow it is supposed to cool down to 106. Double UGH. I keep hoping we will get some rain. We need it so badly.
Onto my card for today. I hope I’m not boring you with my Pinwheel cards. I needed a card for a virtual swap and this is what I chose to create. The paper is from the DSP English Garden and the sentiment comes from the new stamp set, All Boxed Up. I stamped the flower on the inside in Crushed Curry with the stamp set Garden in Bloom.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stay cool!

I have another Pinwheel card today. These cards are very addicting and it’s hard to stop at one! The one major difference between today’s card and the one from the other day is that I didn’t use a belly band. Instead I chose to adhere my sentiment to the scallop circle and attach it to one of the flaps. You do need to be careful when attaching it to the card so that it can still be opened easily. I prefer this way but it could be difficult for the recipient to fold it back together.
For the inside I used a flower from the stamp set Garden in Bloom. I chose not to use the outline stamp but I did use it for the butterfly on the front. I finished it up with several rhinestones on the butterfly!
