Floral Boutique DSP by Stampin’ Up!

I love it when I can make a pretty card quickly.  That’s this card! The Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper is so beautiful that you really don’t have to add much else.  Don’t you agree?

The base of my card is Night of Navy (11″ x 4-1/4″).  I used Whisper White for the next layer (4″ x 5-1/4″) and the Designer Series Paper measures 5″ x 3-3/4″. The Daffodil Delight and Whisper White scallops were cut out with the Layering Oval Framelits. This is a great set of 16 Framelits that I use all the time.

The sentiment is from the Oh Happy Card Kit.  The kit includes enough materials to make 20 different cards as well as this awesome photopolymer stamp set.   The card kit is great but I will be honest and tell you that I  bought the card kit so I could have the stamp set!

If you give this card a try, I’d love to see what you create!

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday!

Below are the Stampin’ Up! products I used to create my card! Click on any of the products and you’ll be taken to my Stampin’ Up! online store.  From there it’s easy to add an item to your shopping cart.

Bunny Box Using the Basket Bunch Bundle

Yesterday I shared a box filled with chocolate and today my project is the same box but I’ve added an opening to the front so the recipient can see the goodies inside!  I used the Basket Bunch stamp set and matching Basket Builder Framelits  Dies.  If you’d like to see the tutorial for making the box, it can be seen HERE in yesterday’s post.

The opening was made using one of the 16 dies in the Layering Circle Framelits.  This set also includes scalloped circles, like the one pictured below.

The next step is to add a piece of clear acetate or film over the opening.  Be sure to add this BEFORE you assemble your box. Hmmm, wonder why I know that!?!  Actually you can still maneuver a piece inside the box once you’ve assembled it but its trickier to do.  You can use one of our Window Sheets for this step or in my case, I didn’t have any on hand but I did have some Clear Medium Envelopes and cut a piece of that.  It worked fine!

My first box above, does have a covering over the opening and the one below doesn’t (I like it better when it is covered).

The sentiment is included in the same stamp set as the bunnies and eggs – Basket Bunch.  The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White card stock with Memento Ink.  Then I trimmed it to the size I wanted and added the notches at the end.

I love to see YOUR creations so please email me and share your box!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  I really should have been a better planner and had a green project for today!!

Oh my gosh, aren’t these little bunnies ADORABLE!!  The little guy comes from the stamp set, Basket Bunch AND there are matching Framelits.  I love it when I don’t have to fussy cut little pieces.  You can purchase the stamp set and Framelits separately but when you get them as a bundle, you save 10%!

When I saw these teeny tiny gold bunnies at Target, I knew I had to make something with them.  One fits perfectly inside the holder (see the picture below).

Seasonal Decorative Masks by Stampin’ Up!

decorative-mask-thank-you-card

I am in love with a product in the Holiday Catalog that I bet you haven’t even noticed!  They are the Seasonal Decorative Masks and they are tucked away on page 43.  Each stencil measures 6″ x 6″ and there’s so much you can do with them!

One way to use them would be to simply place your Whisper White cardstock underneath the mask and create a fun pattern with a sponge dauber and an ink pad!

For my card today, I sponged Emerald Envy over the entire stencil.  Then I went in with Dapper Denim and randomly sponged.  I love how it turned out!

I used the one on the right for my card and the one on the left is just Emerald Envy.

The one on the right is Crushed Curry and the one on the left is a combination of Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.

Imagine all the color combinations you could create!!

Product List – Below are the products I used to create my card.  Click on any item to place an order or for more information. (The last product is a bundle price for the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and the Blossom Builder Punch.  I didn’t use the punch but I wanted you to be aware that there’s a 10% savings if you purchase both at the same time).

You’re in My Thoughts

Thoughts of You

Hi Friends!

Earlier this week I sent this card to a friend to let her know that I’ll be thinking of her on Monday.  Her mom passed away in November and Monday would have been her birthday.  It’s always so hard to convey that you care to people who are grieving.  My father passed away almost seven years ago (it is shocking to write this and know it has been so long since that awful day).  My mom received cards on the first anniversary of his death and it was such a comfort knowing that people remembered and cared enough to send a card.

I wanted my sentiment, You’re in My Thoughts, to be the focal point of the card so I used the stamp set Thoughtful Branches.  I was late to the game on purchasing this set.  Funny how something doesn’t appeal to you and then you just HAVE to have it.  I love sets with beautiful fonts and this one is perfect.  If you think you want to add this to your collection, it is only available until August 31st and it has a matching Framelit. You can buy it as a bundle and save 10% or purchase the stamp set or the Framelit separately.

I used Blooms and Bliss paper (new in the Annual Catalog) with Mint Macaron cardstock.  Rich Razzleberry gives it a nice pop of color.  I punched my flowers out with the Petite Petals punch and used a sponge dauber to add some color around the edges.  I wanted a teeny tiny flower in the middle and the Tree Builder punch came to the rescue.  I also added some Wink of Stella to add glitter to each Petite Petals flower.

Many thanks to fellow SU! Demonstrator, Dena Rekow, for the inspiration for this card.

Have a terrific day!  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
