Dahlia Thank You

My husband and I needed to send a thank you card last week and this is what I made.   I used the stamp set, Regarding Dahlias.  I’ve had this stamp set for months but just never used it.  I wish I had picked it up sooner!

Ready to know how I made my card?  First, I stamped the image on the top left using Blackberry Bliss, one of our new In Colors.  Then I stamped it again in the lower right hand corner.  On a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the flower again 3 times.

With my paper snips, I completely cut out one of these flowers.  I’ll be the first to admit that this can be tedious but it is worth it for the end product! Using the second stamped flower I cut out a medium sized flower shape.  On the last stamped flower, I cut out a small sized flower shape.  As there is no defined area, you just need to decide what petals you want to include when you cut it out. I used dimensionals to layer the flower pieces and then used snail adhesive to attach the entire flower to my card.

I definitely want to make this card using different colors.  I’ve also been wondering how it would look to use two colors instead of just one!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Washi Tape Thank You

Washi Tape thank you

There are so many possibilities with washi tape!  Several days ago I posted a card with a butterfly that I made out of washi tape.  On this card I attached the tape directly to my Whisper White cardstock. So easy! My greeting is from the set Lots of Thanks and stamped in Baked Brown Sugar.  I punched it out with my 1 3/8″ circle punch and adhered it to a 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle. with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Using my Stampin’ Pierce Mat and Paper-Piercing tool I pierced each scallop.
