Kraft Box

Star Box

We made this cute little box at my event on Saturday morning!  It uses the new Kraft cardstock which is much heavier than our regular Crumb Cake cardstock.  Someone mentioned on Saturday that it would be a nice size for a cupcake and there would be room to spare on the sides!

There are several more new products used on my box.  I used the Stars Decorative Mask, a sponge dauber and Cherry Cobbler ink to create the stars.  It is basically a stencil and you rub the color with the dauber over each of the stars on the mask.  Super easy!

It is tied up with the yummy new 1 1/4″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler.  Did you realize that one of our new punches is a 2 inch circle?  I almost missed it in the catalog!  I used it to punch out my greeting (Num Num stamp set) and with some Stampin’ Dimensionals I adhered it to a Cherry Cobbler 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle.

The inspiration for this box came from fellow demo, Angie Juda!

Birthday Bag

Birthday Bag

I mentioned last week that I made a little gift card box for my sister.  I gave her several gift cards and another one went into this bag.  I wish I had taken a picture of the side view so that you could get a better idea of the size but it really is quite small and fits a gift card perfectly!

I used one of our retiring papers called Birthday Basics (#130135).  I love all of the paper in this pack and am sad to see it retiring.  As of right now, it is still available, so if you love it too, be sure to pick it up before it’s gone!

Free shipping continues for three more days!

Today is the last day to enter my drawing!  To enter, just tell me your favorite retiring item!  See my post HERE to add your comment!!  I’ll announce the winner on my blog tomorrow morning!

My card today uses the stamp set Peaceful Petals from the Occasions catalog.  Using my Oval Framelits I made a template and then sponged inside the oval using Rose Red.  I stamped the flowers with Staz-On and colored in the centers with a blender pen and a Daffodil Delight stamp pad. My sentiment is from Wetlands. It is a very quick and easy card to make!

Rich Razzleberry Tulips

Tulips

Today I have a card using an Easter stamp set but as you can see, I didn’t include the sentiment. The stamp can be used for any occasion!  Before inking up my stamp with Staz-On, I covered the sentiment with tape (any kind of repositionable tape, such as painters tape), then took it off before stamping onto my Whisper White cardstock.  I colored the tulips with my Aqua Painter and Rich Razzleberry stamp pad.  I used Gumball Green for the leaves.  Gumball Green is the green that I ALWAYS turn to and I’ll be so sad to see it go in June.  Hopefully something just as beautiful will take its place!  I had planned to use some Rich Razzleberry cardstock on my card but realized that I was completely out so went with just using Gumball Green.  My sentiment is again from the set, Wetlands.

Fun Flowers on Sale

Thinking of You Fun Flower

I’ve been babysitting my granddaughter (I love every minute of it) quite a bit the last few days so I haven’t had much time to craft, but I was able to get into my craft room yesterday for a few minutes and created this card! The flower was created with one of the Weekly Deals this week – the Fun Flowers Bigz Die. I cut the flowers out with the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper and sponged the edges with Island Indigo. I used lots of dimensionals to pop up each layer of the flower.  My sentiment is from the stamp set, Wetlands.  I LOVE the fonts used for the sentiments in this set.  I actually haven’t used anything but the sentiments in this set and I think it’s time to try out the birds!!
