The Trim Your Stockings Thinlits Dies immediately caught my eye because you can create gift card holders and I love gift card holders. You can create a cute Stocking gift card holder with these dies but I chose to make a pillow box.

The pillow box was very easy to create using the Trim Your Stockings Thinlits. I used the beautiful Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper and adhered the box together using our Multipurpose Glue. I tried Fast Fuse and Tear and Tape but was happiest with the results using the glue. The sentiment is from the set Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I find myself using this set over and over, just for the sentiments!
I wrapped the pillow box up with Pool Party Baker’s Twine although it is just for show and not keeping the box closed. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Ink and cut out using the 1″ punch and that sits on a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits dies. I added an enamel shape in Pool Partyand then placed it underneath the Baker’s Twine.
I photographed the pillow box in my hand so you could get an idea as to the size of the box. The best part is that a gift card fits inside perfectly. Of course you could put anything small inside such as a pair of earrings or candy!
Everything I used to create the box is available for purchase today except for the Trim Your Stockings Thinlits Dies which will be available late next week on September 1st!
