Have you heard about the Stampin’ Up! Color Revamp? Six returning In Colors have joined the core collection plus we have nine brand new colors.  And on top of that, five new In Colors have joined the lineup! (To get a closer look at these colors, click the images).

My card today uses Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather and Pool Party.  I participated in a challenge using these three colors together and this is the card I came up with! Unfortunately Blackberry Bliss is looking a bit more like black in my photo but if you look at the collections photo above, you’ll get a better sense of the true color.

I layered Blackberry Bliss and Highland Heather together and added another layer of Whisper White that was embossed with the Layering Leaves embossing folder.  I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss using the brand new stamp set, Accented Blooms (this stamp set coordinates with the Tailored Tag Punch).

After stamping the sentiment, I cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I find it much easier to stamp and then cut rather than first cutting out the image and then trying to get the sentiment straight. If the sentiment is in photopolymer then it’s much easier to make sure it’s straight but when I’m using red rubber I’d rather take stress out of the equation (this is supposed to be fun!!).  So stamp first, cut later.

Using the Layering Squares Framelits, I added two scalloped squares of Blackberry Bliss and Highland Heather and put the sentiment on top.  Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the Blackberry Bliss.  The extra height of that piece makes a big difference in the overall look of the card.

I have a beautiful new butterfly on my card, created using the Springtime Impressions Thinlits and Pool Party cardstock. All of the small, detailed pieces easily came out using my Big Shot Brush. To adhere the butterfly to the Whisper White panel, two mini dimensional fit perfectly on the back.

I love the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and added three to the butterfly and three more to the bottom of the sentiment to finish my card!
