It’s Day 2 of my Delightful Daisy Mini-Series where I’m sharing the beautiful patterns in a package of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper! Today I’m sharing a card that has a matchbook on the front of the card and it’s the perfect spot for a gift card!

I thought about decorating the front with a sentiment but I decided against covering up the pretty daisies.
There are three new products on my card and all available next week! In addition to the Delightful Daisy DSP, the embossing folder is also new as well as the ribbon! Funny story about the ribbon! Since I’m using new products, I have to double check the catalog for names and details. The ribbon didn’t look familiar to me at all. When I checked in the catalog with what I thought it was supposed to be, I was confused. But I figured it out! When I looked at the ribbon in the catalog, all I saw was a crisscross pattern but the other side there are two rows of straight stitching, which is what shows up on my card. Both sides ARE shown in the catalog but my eyes went right to the crisscrosses.

Ready for all the measurements to make this card?
Base of Card: Thick Whisper White 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
Whisper White layer: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Daffodil Delight: 4-1/2′ X 3-3/8″
Night of Navy: 3-1/4′ X 4-3/8″
Matchbook: Daffodil Delight: 3″ x 8-1/2″ Score at 3-1/2″ and 7-5/8″
Delightful Daisy DSP: 2-7/8″ x 3-3/8″ and 3/4″ x 2-7/8″
Tips:
After folding up the matchbook, staple it together as low as you can on the small flap. Then attach the small piece of DSP.
Attach the Night of Navy card stock to the piece of Daffodil Delight and then glue the matchbook to those two pieces. Wrap the ribbon around all of those pieces. Then, attach Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and place on top of the embossed Whisper White piece.

A beautiful package of Designer Series paper called Delightful Daisy, will be making its appearance on June 1st in the new catalog. This was an item I was able to preorder at the beginning of the month and I love it!! I thought I would do a mini-series showing you a card or project each day using this gorgeous paper!

I love flowers so this pattern is right up my alley. Each package of Designer Series Paper lists the colors that will coordinate with the paper. No longer do you need to guess what colors will work since it’s done for you! This is a feature I really appreciate! This package coordinates with Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pool Party, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White. If you’re familiar with Stampin’ Up! colors you’ll notice that I used a color not listed, Wisteria Wonder! I think it looks beautiful with this paper so you can add this color to your catalog when you receive it.
My sentiment comes from a set that will be returning in the new catalog, Awesomely Artistic. After stamping “Friend,” I cut the oval out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and mounted it onto an oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits using Wisteria Wonder. These two Framelits really complement each other well!

I always tend to make cards with layers but I went for something different with today’s card! Using the Happy Birthday stamp from Butterfly Basics, I stamped all over my Tempting Turquoise base. I put a piece of copy paper underneath my paper so I could partially stamp the sentiment in some areas.
The Balloon Bouquet Punch makes it so easy to cut out perfect balloons. Mine were cut out of Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper. This pack of paper is on the retirement list and available while supplies last.
I used Whisper White Baker’s Twine for the string on the balloons and added a piece of a Stampin’ Dimensional at the base of the balloon to attach the twine, I added a few more dimensionals on the balloon to then attach it to the card.
The stamp set, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, was used to stamp my sentiment (it will be available on June 1st when the new catalog goes live). Some Metallic Enamel Shapes finished off the card!

If you’re in a hurry and want to dress up a gift card, this is your project. This Gift Card Sleeve can be made using a piece of Designer Series Paper, as I have, or cardstock.

For the insert I used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. My gift card was just a bit bigger than the insert but it fits well inside the sleeve. In my picture, the gift card looks crooked but that was my fault. I only used one glue dot on the back because I was using that card for multiple photos of products so you can very definitely secure it well with several glue dots! I used four lengths of Linen Thread and threaded them through the top of the insert. I wanted it to have some fullness and another option would be to then separate each of the strands for an even fuller look. The sentiment I used will be in a new stamp set available on June 1st called Happy Birthday Gorgeous.
Measurements
Designer Series Paper (sleeve): 5-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ score at 1-1/2″ and 3-3/4″
Edited: Apply Tear and Tape as shown in the photo below. Fold to create the sleeve.
Whisper White (insert): 4-3/4″ x 1-7/8″ (insert one end into the Scalloped Tag Topper punch)

Below you’ll find the supplies I used. The Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper is on the retired list and only available while supplies last. To place an order, click any of the pictures.
Monday, May 22nd, is the last day to order a retiring stamp set and be assured that you’ll receive it. After that date, each stamp set is available while supplies last or May 31st.

I’ve been in a gift card making mood and have several more for you this week! But first, if you follow my blog, you know that for the last several months I’ve been posting Monday – Friday. I wanted to let you know that I’m going to make a small change in my schedule and you can count on my posts Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. I won’t be posting tomorrow but I’ll have one more way to package a gift card on Saturday.
On to today’s project! This is a small card and will definitely fit into one of our Whisper White Medium Envelopes with some extra space. You could also tuck it inside a small gift bag and just forget the envelope!

As you can see from the picture, your gift card slides in to the pocket.

The sentiment sits on a scalloped oval which has Stampin’ Dimensionals along the bottom edge. That way, the top flap can tuck underneath it. Hopefully the picture helps in understanding this.

I used Party Animal Designer Series Paper to decorate the panels of the holder. This paper is currently on the retiring list and on sale. It’s normally $11.00 but you can get it, while supplies last, for $6.60!
Dimensions
Base: 8-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ score on long side at 3-1/4″ and 7-1/4″
(Use tear and tape to adhere the sides together to make a pocket)
Designer Series Paper: 3-1/4″ x 3″ and 3-1/4″ x 1-1/4″
Stamping Supplies – Click on any picture below and you’ll be directed to my Stampin’ Up! online store. From there it’s easy to add an item to your cart!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be back on Saturday!
