New Stamp Set and Weekly Deals

I love it when Stampin’ Up! releases new stamp sets and that’s exactly what they’ve done today!  The set, You’re Wonderful, is now available for purchase!  This is a photopolymer set and can be used with your clear blocks.  Are you familar with photopolymer stamps?   Each stamp is very sticky so there are zero problems with your stamps falling off the blocks.  Plus, they are clear, so you can see exactly where you are stamping.  I think that they are fast becoming my favorite to stamp with!

You're Wonderful

It’s Tuesday so that means new Weekly Deals!! I love that punches are being offered at discount prices!!! (Click on the picture and you’ll be taken to my online store).

Paper Pumpkin

Today I want to talk about Paper Pumpkin.  I’ve talked about it before on my blog but there have been many changes to the Paper Pumpkin program in recent months.  I will be very honest with you, I have joined and rejoined PP several times. I wasn’t overjoyed by the kits and decided that it just wasn’t for me.  If I was going to recommend it to you, I wanted to try it and see what I thought.

I have signed up again.  Why?  When I went to the Stampin’ Up! Convention in July, demonstrators were able to look at some upcoming kits.  I absolutely loved what I saw.  I couldn’t take pictures because we went through a room that was curtained off and picture taking was not allowed.  I immediately signed up again as soon as I returned home from Convention.

When my kit arrived last month, I was very impressed with how much was in it, much more than in the kits I had previously ordered.  You can make the projects as they are intended or change them up.  Stampin’ Up! even has a video each month (see below) that shows you how to make the projects as well as everything included in the kit. At the end of my post, you can see a card I made with the kit, but I made some changes.

  •  You’ll add new and exclusive stamps to your crafting supplies
  • CUTE projects!!!!

Here’s the card I made with the kit.  I took a piece of Whisper White (see picture below the card) and sponged it with Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. These colors remind me of a popsicle I used to eat when I was a kid.  Back then they were called Missiles.  Delicious on a hot day!   Back to the card . . . .  then I glued that piece to my Daffodil Delight card base, put Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Hello base and attached it!  Just another look using some of the elements of the kit.  My little polka dots were made using a stamp in the kit.

I Love Pens

Ok, I will admit it.  I LOVE pens.  Always have and always will. I have more pens than I would need in three lifetimes but does that stop me from buying more?  Umm . . . . . no!  My husband travels a lot and he always brings new pens home for me.  He knows that a new pen will bring a smile to my face.  I love paper too and he brings me notepads, but that is for another day.  🙂

That brings me to my newest pen find – Project Life by Stampin’ Up! journaling pens!!!  I’ve been working on a Project Life scrapbook and bought these to do my journaling.  Well, they aren’t just for scrapbooks!  I’ve starting using them for writing inside cards, in my note-taking journal . . . .  They come in two widths, but both are fine tip.

Journaling pensTrust me, if you are a pen lover, like me, you will love these pens!!

Thank you for stopping by!  Enjoy the long weekend!

At Convention in July, I was able to play with the new stamp set, Wondrous Wreath and the matching Wonderful Wreath Framelit Dies.  When I first saw the stamp, I thought that I would hold off on purchasing it.  Playing with it totally turned my thinking around and I bought it at Convention.   This set makes it so easy to create a beautiful card.  Watch the video below to see the stamp set and Framelit in action (you’ll see two cute cards at the end too)!!

Enjoy the rest of your day and thank you for stopping by!!

I wanted a card to send to a friend to let her know that I’m thinking of her and this is the card I made.  She’s gone through some difficulties these  past few weeks so I hope this little guy brings a smile to her face.

Is there someone that you know who could use a handmade card to brighten their day?

Dahlia Thank You

My husband and I needed to send a thank you card last week and this is what I made.   I used the stamp set, Regarding Dahlias.  I’ve had this stamp set for months but just never used it.  I wish I had picked it up sooner!

Ready to know how I made my card?  First, I stamped the image on the top left using Blackberry Bliss, one of our new In Colors.  Then I stamped it again in the lower right hand corner.  On a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the flower again 3 times.

With my paper snips, I completely cut out one of these flowers.  I’ll be the first to admit that this can be tedious but it is worth it for the end product! Using the second stamped flower I cut out a medium sized flower shape.  On the last stamped flower, I cut out a small sized flower shape.  As there is no defined area, you just need to decide what petals you want to include when you cut it out. I used dimensionals to layer the flower pieces and then used snail adhesive to attach the entire flower to my card.

I definitely want to make this card using different colors.  I’ve also been wondering how it would look to use two colors instead of just one!

Thank you for stopping by today!
