This week I’m going to share cards/projects that use Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. The star of today’s card is the beautiful, shimmery Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper. There are many patterns in this package and although it’s in a holiday catalog, many of the designs can be used year round!
When I made and photographed this card, I was visiting my mom. I have to rely on natural light while at her house so when taking the picture of the card I just couldn’t get the light right, The base of the card looks black but is actually a beautiful green color called Shaded Spruce. It looks really nice next to the second layer of Soft Sea Foam.
I cut the Frosted Floral DSP into four squares that measured 2-3/8″ x 1-3/4″ and glued then onto the Soft Sea Foam piece. The sentiment was stamped in Shaded Spruce onto Whisper White cardstock and it’s from the stamp set, Painted Harvest. This set debuted in the Holiday Catalog last year and I was so happy when it carried over into the Annual Catalog. It was a very popular set and if you’d like to see other cards made using the flowers in the set, you can click here and here. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the sentiment to give it some pop!
Use your Stampin’ Blends to color your pearls and you’ll instantly have an embellishment that matches your card! Because the Blends are alcohol based, they dry quickly so your pearls are ready to place on your card right after you place the cap back on your marker! I used the Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend.
