It’s time for the Glitter Queens Blog Hop! This month we’re sharing boxes!
I used the beautiful Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create my boxes. The paper comes in five colors: Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather and Grapefruit Grove. This paper has been SO popular. It’s back in stock again but it’s on the low inventory list! If you want some, order it as soon as possible!
When I designed this box, I intended for these cookies to go inside but you could really put any treat inside!
I used the stamp set Fable Friends and stamped each sentiment using the same ink as the color of the box but decided on Memento Ink for the Daffodil Delight box. I used our Frosted Flower embellishments on all of the boxes.
Assembling the boxes is pretty straightforward. I used cardstock for the bottom of the box and Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper for the top. Both pieces have different measurements but you’ll cut them exactly the same.
Measurements
- Cardstock (bottom of the box): 4-1/2″ x 6″ Score at 1″ on all four sides. IMPORTANT: After you’ve cut your paper to the correct size, cut a smidge off of two connecting sides. If you don’t do this, your top won’t fit.
- Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper (top of the box): 4″ x 5-1/2″ Score at 3/4″ on all four sides.
On each end (the shorter end), cut up to the score line and then cut notches on both sides. Add add Tear & Tape to the ends.
Bring each corner up to the end piece as indicated in the picture below.
A finished end will look like this. Repeat the steps for the other end of the top and then do the same thing for the cardstock bottom.
I hope you’ll try creating this box!
You’ll find all the supplies I used farther down in the post!
I’m the last person in the hop but if you started here, I hope you’ll continue on to all the other blogs for more great ideas!
