Thinking of You

thinking of you oval framelit

Happy Monday!  Here’s an easy card that you can make using the Oval Framelits!

Use your Big Shot and cut out an oval using the Ovals Collection Framelits (#129381) on the front of your card.  Then emboss just the front with the Fancy Fan embossing folder (#127751).  You want to be sure to emboss last so that you don’t flatten the embossing.  Next, use that same size Framelit and cut out an oval out of a sheet from the Watercolor Wonder DSP (#132994).  Using the next smaller size, center it on the oval you just made and you will have created an outer frame that you can glue to the front of your card! You’ll also have an extra oval that you can save for another card –  perhaps use it as an Easter egg!

My greeting (from the set Sassy Salutations) was punched out using the Decorative Label punch. I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the greeting so that it would “pop” up.

Butterfly Hello

Butterfly Hello

Happy Saturday!! I hope you have some fun plans today! My card today sure makes me feel as though spring is just around the corner. I used the Retro Fresh This and That Designer Washi Tape to create my colorful butterfly.  I laid the tape down on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and then placed it on top of the larger butterfly using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die.

Beautiful Butterflies Bigz

I made several butterflies and each one is different and unique.

My inspiration for this card came from the site My Stamping Best Friend!

Thinking of You

Thinking of You Petite Petals

Today I have a card for you that uses the Petite Petal and Flower Shop stamp sets again.  The hardest part of this card was deciding which colors to use!  I went with Island Indigo and Pool Party, two beautiful shades of blue. My greeting is from the set Sassy Salutations. I popped up my flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals which always gives a nice effect.

Just Because Petite Petals

Just Because Petite Petals

Today I have one of the cards I made yesterday and it was inspired by a card made by my upline, Dawn Griffith.  It’s a fun card because it opens up differently than you would expect.  I used two different stamp sets for my Tangerine Tango flowers – Flower Shop (wood #130939  clear#130942) and Petite Petals (wood#133152  clear#133155).  My sentiment is from the set A Dozen Thoughts (wood#131056  clear#131059).  The pretty  paper on the front as well as inside the card is the Retro Fresh DSP.  I popped each flower up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a pretty rhinestone in the center!

Banner Blast

Banner Blast

This card was so much fun to make! The stamp set used to make the banners and the banner punch can each be yours, FREE.  With each $50 purchase you make, you can choose one item in the Sale-a-bration catalog absolutely FREE.  With a $100 purchase, both of these products can be yours.  The punch will also be available in the 2014-2015 annual catalog but you can receive it free until March 31st!

Yesterday I bought a beach towel that has the most gorgeous shades of blues and greens.  I kept looking at it and thought, I should make a card with those colors!  I wanted to throw some Tempting Turquoise into the mix but decided to stick with Pacific Point and Gumball Green. I wrapped some Linen Thread around my Whisper White paper and then adhered my banners to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I embossed just the upper half of my card with the Decorative Dots folder (also FREE during Sale-a-bration) and stamped my greeting with the stamp set Sassy Salutations (wood #132070  clear#126707).

Gift Card Holder

Isn’t it scary when something is wrong with your computer?  What the heck did we do without them?   I’m happy to say that my computer problems have been solved by the nice man at the Apple store!

Here is the card I made a few days ago but couldn’t post until now.  My inspiration came from Ronda Wade.  I modified it just a bit and turned it into a gift card holder.  Gift Card Holder

I made my card  using paper from the  Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper that you can get free with a $50 order! You can make three holders with just one sheet of paper.  Here are the measurements:

DSP:  4 x 12   Score at 1- 3/4″ & 7- 1/8″  Use sticky strip to seal up the edges

Front flap:   Basic Gray:  4-1/4″ x 2- 3/4″          Whisper White:  4″ x 2- 1/2″

Piece inside for gift card (I adhered the gift card with glue dots):  3-1/4″  x  5-1/8″       I used my  Small Oval Punch to make it easier to get the gift card out.

My sentiment comes from the set Simply Celebrate.  I love the font that is used to write Enjoy.

Happy Bag

Happy Monday!  Here’s a way to brighten someone’s Monday morning!  Make them a sweet bag, like this one, and fill it up with some goodies.   That would put a smile on anyone’s face, even on a Monday!  My bag was made using the Designer Series Paper,  Sweet Sorbet.  This paper can be yours FREE (until March 31, 2014) with a $50 order!

My sentiment is from the set Yippee-Skippee (Wood 131341  Clear 131344) and I cut it out with one of the shapes in the Starburst Framelits dies from the Occasions Catalog (132967).

Yippee Skippee

I tied it up with our Ruffle Stretch Trim in Crisp Cantaloupe (130021) and Whisper White Baker’s Twine (124262).  My thanks go to Angie Juda for this cute idea!

Family Time!

It has been a fun week with my family.  My husband, Mark,  our daughter, Jenny, and I  went wine tasting for the first time.  We had a delicious lunch and then did some wine tasting!  IMG_1163 IMG_1161 IMG_1156

Earlier in the week we took our granddaughter to the park.  I love this picture of Mark and Audrey walking up the hill.

Last night Jenny, Erin, Tyler, Audrey and I went out to dinner.  It is always fun to go out!  Audrey was hungry while we waited for our dinner, but she had a good time “coloring” with her crayons and putting them back in the box. So cute, but of course, I think everything that Audrey does is cute!!
