Today I have a card for you using two new products from the Occasions catalog that I used for the first time on this card! The first one is the Arrows Textured Impressions embossing folder (#132187). At first I refrained from buying this folder but after seeing it used to make so many cute cards on the internet, I wanted to purchase it!
The second new item is my sentiment. It comes from the set Simply Celebrate (see below) and it can be purchased in either wood (133221) or clear (133224). I only wanted the “hello” part of the stamp, not the part that says, please take a seat. In order to do this, I put blue painters tape – I had some sitting right there on my craft table but any tape will work – over the part I didn’t want on my card. I inked the stamp up and pulled off the tape before stamping. Have you tried this technique before?

Want to be able to make a quick and easy card? I used the Happenings Simply Created Card Kit and make this card in about five minutes!!! It comes with everything that you see below. I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the two banners and adhered the white twine (can you see the pretty silver in it??) with glue dots to the silver button.
My mom has been sick recently so I decided to make this a get well card. My sentiment comes from the set A Dozen Thoughts (wood #131056 clear #131059). The sentiment actually say, better get better, but I wanted my card to just say, get better. So I covered the first “better” with some tape, added ink with my Strawberry Slush stamp pad, took the tape off and stamped on the white banner! Easy!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend! Today I have a box that I made with the Envelope Punch Board using paper from the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper Pack. I LOVE this paper!! It definitely makes you feel like Spring is just around the corner! The Envelope Punch Board makes it so easy to create a quick box that can hold cards, treats, gift cards etc. Tomorrow I’ll have a video for you and show you how to make this cute box!

Yesterday I posted this cute lollipop holder and today I have the video for you! I’ve been retired from teaching for almost two “school years.” When you teach, life is always measured by a school year!! My last year was teaching second graders and I know they would have liked these little holders (they definitely would have LOVED the lollipops). My eyes are still always looking for projects that would appeal to kids or teachers. Once a teacher, always a teacher.

Yesterday was a tiring but fun day. My daughter, Jenny, and I took a road trip from Northern California to Southern California. We started out very early in the morning and made it in time for the start of the Super Bowl! We are in Temecula which is where my other daughter, Erin, lives. Jenny is planning to move to Los Angeles soon and will be staying with with us in Temecula until she finds a job and a place to live. I haven’t seen Erin or Audrey (my adorable granddaughter) yet and can’t wait to see them later today! Have I mentioned recently that I love being a grandma??!!!
Before our road trip I was busy working on stamping projects and videos! Here’s one of my projects – a lollipop holder! I made them using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch! So easy to make and wouldn’t they be fun to make for Valentine’s Day?? Tomorrow I will post a video so you can follow along and make your own!
