Anyone who knows me will not be surprised to know that my favorite Sale-a-bration FREEBIE is the embossing folder, Decorative Dots. The moment I saw it I knew I had to have it! You can have it too with a $50 order! This might be confusing but although there’s a price on all of the items in the Sale-a-bration brochure, they cannot be purchased, only earned free.
Now on to my card which was inspired by fellow demo, Ronda Wade. The base of my card is Sahara Sand and I embossed my Whisper White cardstock with the Decorative Dots embossing folder . It is on top of a piece Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock which is one of the colors that coordinates with the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper that I used (another item you can get during Sale-a-bration, absolutely free).
Notice the fringed Pool Party cardstock? I did this using the new Fringed Scissors in the Occasions catalog.
The Crisp Cantaloupe twine is from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack – another Sale-a-bration freebie! My sentiment comes from Starburst Sayings. There’s a matching Framelit with this set but I chose to use one of the circles from the Circles Framelits.

A new product is available today – the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine! This machine ONLY embosses, it does not cut as the Big Shot does. It is small so it is easier to have on your craft table. At the moment, Stampin’ Up! has a limited supply of these and they are available until supplies last but it WILL be available in the upcoming annual catalog in July. Did you have a nice weekend? I went to the movies TWICE this past weekend! I love going to the movies but lately it seems that I rarely go. My daughter, Jenny, and I saw Saving Mr. Banks and August: Osage County – two completely opposite movies. We had lots of fun and lots of conversation after each one!
Today I have a happy birthday card that was so easy to put together. The base of my card is Island Indigo with a piece of Watercolor Wonder DSP on top of it. I love this DSP! The greens and blues are so pretty and I decided to use it on my card as if it was a piece of wrapping paper on a gift. It is “tied up” with our pretty organza ribbon. I stamped a few flowers from the set Petite Petals on a piece of Whisper White cut out with a Chalk Talk Framelit. My sentiment is from Sassy Salutations. I used snail to adhere this piece to my card but think it might look nicer with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. If you are looking for a quick and cute card, this is it!

I posted this card a few days ago and I’ve made a video to go with it. One of my goals this year is to not be so hard on myself. Sometimes I expect whatever I do to be perfect, especially putting something out on the internet!!!! I’ve wanted to do videos for a long time and I decided that I just need to jump in. I heard a great quote a few weeks ago and I’ve been mulling it over in my mind, “Perfection is the enemy of progress.” My videos will continue to get better over time but I have to just jump in and START! So, here is my video for this card!

All good things must come to an end. We loved having our granddaughter in our house this week but we are sad because she left this morning. My husband and I took Audrey to the park a few days ago and she had a great time — she LOVED the swings! In the second picture you can see that she found my little Stampin’ Up! garbage can of scraps. She had great fun carrying the scraps around, taking them out and putting them back in! My sister gave Audrey the brown chair and ottoman as a belated Christmas present last night. I was able to get a picture of her in it this morning before they left.
We will see them in a few weeks but will miss having that sweet little girl running around our house.
I will be watching my team, the 49ers, play this afternoon, in our much too quiet house.

Our house is full of family right now and I couldn’t be happier! Unfortunately finding time to blog has been very hard to do! I do have a card for you that I made last week before our family arrived. It is a quick and easy card that uses the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards (and Envelopes) as the base of my card. There are five different designs and just think about all of the different ways to use these cards! I actually made a video for this card and will post it on Monday. Have a great rest of the day!

I think this paper is so pretty that it really can take center stage on a card. My flowers are from the new set Petite Petals and punched out with the matching Petite Petals punch.
