I guess you could say that I am definitely on a gift card holder kick. Remember the days when you had to actually go to THE place of business to get a gift card?? What a pain. Now it is so very easy to just pop into your local grocery store and peruse the wide array of gift cards. Love it!
The base of my card holder uses the Card Base Pop ‘n Cuts Big Shot die. You use a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of cardstock. It does not come scored as the picture below suggests but it does have the notched edges at the top and at the opposite end, little slits for those notched edges so that it will stay closed.
I scored mine at 1″, 3″ and 7 1/2″. It is a little easier to see what I did on this Very Vanilla one. The one inch score line becomes a flap and the other becomes your pocket!
The inspiration for folding the base of my card came from Catherine Harwood and the embelishment idea came right from the big catalog on page 9. I originally did not order the stamp set Cycle Celebration but as it always works, I saw it on a card and fell in love with it.

Another card using the cute set, Zoo Babies. This time I used one of the new In Colors, Pistachio Pudding! It is such a soft pretty color and the Ruffle Stretch Trim in the same color is so sweet. I wish we had this trim in every available color instead of just the new In Colors.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Another gift card holder! Our daughter, Jenny, had her birthday in July but we are celebrating it today (she is 32). We have several gift cards for her and this is just one of the cards I made for her. If you visit my blog regularly you will recognize this particular holder. If you are new to my blog, you can see another one
here. I forgot to take a picture of the inside so that you can see where the gift card goes. This card is so quick and easy and CUTE!
My husband brought home some flowers for me the other day. I thought they were so beautiful and just had to take a picture to share with you. Gorgeous, huh?
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by today!

Hi Friends!
Have you noticed how popular banners are??? They are everywhere! This card was inspired by one I received from Dawn Griffith. It is so easy to make using two sets of Framelits in your Big Shot. The banner came right from the set, Hearts a Flutter and my hearts are from another set of Framelits called the Heart Collection.

Honestly, the hardest part of this card is choosing which paper to use! I decided on Eastern Elegance which is just so pretty in person! My sentiment is from the set Lots of Thanks, fast becoming a favorite of mine.
If you haven’t tried a card with banners yet, I hope this has inspired you!

Hi Friends,
Yesterday I needed several thank you cards that I could easily mail (nice and flat) and this is one of the cards I came up with. I used Wildflower Meadow and stamped it directly onto a piece of Pistachio Pudding DSP. I love it on the dotted paper! I attached a piece of Ruffled Stretch Trim across the DSP and snipped it off at both ends rather than wrapping it around to the backside. It is adhered to a piece of Baked Brown Sugar. This is not a color combination that I would normally use but my handy dandy Color Coach (#130118) recommended it! Such a valuable tool for creating color combinations!
My sentiment is from the set Chalk Talk which I punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and attached it to a 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle. I used my paper piercing tool and pierced a hole in each scallop!

I love making gift card holders! I made this about a month ago but never posted it. You can see another one I posted HERE using the Birthday Basics DSP.
I used Bermuda Bay paper from the Brights DSP Stack. I love these stacks of paper, especially the ones with dots. I left the circle blank inside so that a sentiment could be written there. As I am sitting her typing my post, I’ve been looking at the front of the card and thinking that I could have added more details to jazz it up. I have to remind myself that it is okay to have a card front that isn’t super busy!

I posted earlier today that the Holiday Catalog is now live but in this post I’ve included some links to download the catalog to your computer or iPad plus a list of supplies needed to make the cute projects throughout the catalog.
I think that one of my very favorite products are the Frosted Finishes Embellishments. I saw them at Convention and all I can say is, WOW!! They are beautiful!! I’ve even seen them made into earrings! I can’t wait to make some cards with these beauties.
Another favorite are these Envelope Liners! They fit three different Stampin’ Up! envelopes. Every card can come in a beautiful lined envelope!
Do you see the little red icon next to the picture? That means that this product can be seen in action on your mobile device! Here’s how it works:
Products come to life in the holiday catalog, thanks to a fun interactive app.
To get started:
- Go to the App Store or Google Play and download and install the FREE Layar app to your smartphone or tablet.
- Scan images that are tagged with the Stampin’ Up! Interactive icon to unlock videos.
Supported devices:
The Layar app will work on
- iPhone 3GS and higher and iPad 2 and higher; requires iOS 5.1 or higher
- Android devices running v2.2 or later
Things to know:
- Different mobile devices will work differently with the Layar app. Some are faster than others, some will take more steps to load the videos, etc.
- You need to hold your mobile device far enough from the page that the image is completely in the device’s screen before the video will load.
- Hold your device over the page until the video loads. Be patient-the video might take a while to load, depending on your device.
- Most devices will start playing a video automatically, but some will have a play icon that you need to tap to start the video. And some won’t show a play icon but will still require you to tap the screen on your device to start the video. So if a video doesn’t start playing automatically, tap the play icon or screen of your device. (If you’re using a Samsung Galaxy phone, you’ll need to tap the box that appears on the screen to start the video.)
- If you don’t want to hold your device over the page for the duration of the video, just tap the video and then pull it away from the page-the video will keep playing.

Take Care,
