Another Sunburst

Today I have another Sunburst card for you using the paper Sweater Weather which can be found in the Holiday Catalog.  This time I just used two patterns as opposed to the four I used on this card.

My husband and I are babysitting our granddaughter today so we are off to go pick her up!  Have a wonderful day!

Sunburst Technique

Sometimes life gets so busy that it is hard to find time to get everything done that you want to.  I am not a person who willingly jumps out of bed in the morning, while it is still dark, to get things done but today I did just that. So, it is time to show you a card that we did at my Stamp Club this month.

This was made using the Sunburst technique and it was a fun card to make.  There are so many possibilities with this design by just using different paper.  I will have a few more to share with you in the next few days!

Next week it will be my granddaughter’s first birthday!  What a fun year it has been!  My husband and I are just in love with this little girl. Here’s a picture of her with her dad, my son-in-law, Tyler, when they went to Disneyland a few days ago.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

Beware!

This was my first try at our new Mini Muslin Bags (#132180) in the Holiday Catalog!   In all honesty, I wanted my dots to be darker so I’ll be trying something different next time although I think it is pretty darn cute!
My stamp set is Halloween Bash which I stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Black StazOn.  I popped the bat up with dimensionals, punched a hole and used Linen thread to attach it to the Basic Black Tafetta Ribbon.  What a fun treat this would be to receive!

You Made My Day

Today I have a card that I made using our Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape.  It is so easy to make a cute and quick card with this embellishment! I stamped a flower from the set Flower Shop and punched it out with our matching Pansy Punch.  I added several rhinestones to the middle to bling it up. My sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts, a set that I am in love with.

Hey There Friend

A quick post today!  My card was inspired by a beautiful one I saw by Selene Kempton.  I loved the colors she used and this new Maple Leaf stamp and knew I wanted to make one!  I will post the supplies information later today!

Polka Dot Pieces

I found the idea for this card on Sam Donald’s website.  She is also a Stampin’ Up! demo but she is located in the UK.   This card makes me smile because it is so bright and cheery.  It is somewhat hard to see in my photos, but can you tell the difference between the two cards, besides the sentiment?

The base of one card is Whisper White and the other one is Melon Mambo. It is a little bit easier to see the difference in the picture of them side by side.

The pretty polka dot paper is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack.  It is 12×12 paper in all 10 colors in the Brights collection. My flower comes from the set Polka Dot Pieces.  I stamped the large flower image once and punched it out with the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle punch.  The smaller flower was stamped twice.  The center of one was punched out with the 3/4″ Circle punch and then I used the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle punch for the entire flower.  A rhinestone in the center gives it just a touch of bling.  My sentiments are from the Hostess set, Banner Greetings.

Happy Birthday, Tyler!

Yesterday was my son-in-laws 30th birthday and I made this check/money holder for him. It was a bit of challenge for me to make a masculine card. I had another Designer Series Paper in mind but then decided that it was too girlie.  I think this paper works from the Epic Day This and That DSP pack.  I knew that I wanted to have the number thirty on the card so I used my Big Shot and the Typeset Alphabet Bigz die. They were cut out with the same paper as the holder.  I wrapped a belly band around it to to keep the contents nice and secure. I hope he liked it!
