Today I have two little treat boxes that we made at my Stamp Clubs earlier this month. Last October I posted another one that you can see HERE. They are fun to make and are so versatile because you can stamp something different on each one! My cute sentiment is from the Sneak Peek set “A Round Array.” This is fast becoming one of my favorite sets and is available as a bundle with the 7/8″ punch until May 31st. For more information about this stamp set/bundle, click HERE. The box on the left was stamped with Secret Garden and the one on the right is made using Distressed Dots.

Stampin’ Up! announced today that they will have new wood mount cases when the new catalog goes live on May 31st! I am so excited! I usually purchase clear mount stamps because they take up less space and the cases are easier to store but I love the new cases!! They will also be selling empty cases! Check out the video!! Its time for my next installment of Spotlight on Tools! This week it’s Blender Pens (#102845 $9.95). Blender pens combine the flexibility of watercolors with the convenience of markers. It’s easy to achieve a beautiful watercolor effect using blender pens with just about any color source. The tip cleans off with just a stroke or two on scratch paper. One pen is all you need for all of your colors!
I use blender pens whenever I’m coloring in a stamped image. You simply pick up color with it and it helps to soften and blend the color. As you know, our pencils and watercolor crayons are being discontinued but I know that many of you have them already but you can also use reinkers. Here are several ways to use the pens:
1. Directly color your image with the crayons or pencils and then pull the color around.
2. Take your blender pen directly to the crayon.
3. Color on a piece of scratch paper, pick up the color with your pen and then to your stamped image.
4. Put a few drops of reinker in your stamp pad lid and pick up small amounts of the color to your stamped image.
They are a great tool to have in your stamping toolbox!!

Due to unforeseen problems with our supplier for Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Watercolor Pencils, we have decided to discontinue these two products.
Watercolor Pencils (item 101879) and Watercolor Wonder Crayons Brights Collection (item 119804), which have been on the Backorder Report for about a week, will no longer be available, effective immediately. If your order has not been shipped due to its status in backorder, we will not be able to fill it. We will soon begin processing refunds for these items. Keep in mind that it may take a few days to see the reimbursement in your account.

This week I’m spotlighting the Bone Folder (#102300). This is a must-have tool in your paper crafting toolbox! It helps you to easily score and make crisp folds on paper and card stock. Ninety-nine percent of the time I use my bone folder when I’m creating in my craft room. Once in a while I’m in a hurry and I just fold my paper in half and use my fingers to make the fold. Big mistake! As soon as I do that, I remind myself to slow down because the fold I just created isn’t crisp and the paper seems to be a bit “wrinkled.” I’m never happy with the results when I forget to use my bone folder.
The pointed end of the bone folder can also be used in the track of a paper cutter to easily score your paper. Although the Simply Scored comes with a scoring tool, your bone folder could also be used.

Petite Curly Label Punch #129405 $12.95

It’s the first day of April! We had plenty of rain here yesterday so hopefully those May flowers are on the way!
I’ve seen so many cute cards using our new White Tea Lace Paper Doilies (129399) so I decided to purchase some and this is the card I made. The base of my card is Raspberry Ripple which took me quite a while to warm up to and I am not sure why. It is so pretty. My flowers are from the set Oh, Hello (in the Spring Catalog). I colored my flowers using my Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green markers. If you look closely, you’ll see that they aren’t the same shade. After stamping the first flower I ONLY re-inked the stem, huffed on it and stamped it again. I punched them out with my 2 1/2 Circle punch, sponged around the edges with Gumball Green and used dimensionals to adhere it to the doily.
