I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Tonight my daughter Erin, son-in-law, and beautiful granddaughter are arriving for a visit! I am so excited that I’m jumping out of my skin!! It’s also Erin’s 30th birthday today. I can hardly believe that she is 30. Time flies by, doesn’t it? My other daughter, Jenny, will be coming for a visit this weekend too. We will have a full house and I can’t wait!

We also made this bag at my Hostess Club yesterday. It is such a cute little size. You could put candy in it but for the person who really doesn’t like candy (or is trying to stay away from it), you could make several 3×3 cards and envelopes to tuck inside. Tomorrow I will have a 3×3 card that you could make to match the bag. The inspiration for my bag came from Angie Juda. She made one at Christmas time and I thought it would be perfect with our new More Amore DSP.

Today I have a Valentine’s Day card for you. We’ll be making this today at my Hostess Club. It uses the new Hearts a Flutter stamp set and the matching Framelits from the Spring catalog. I love this card. In person it is so bright and cheerful!! I used three new products from the Spring Catalog. First, I used the Ovals Collection Framelits for my large Scalloped Oval and the smaller one. I pierced holes around each of the scallops with the new Occasions Paper Piercing Pack. It is somewhat difficult to see the holes on the Rich Razzleberry and I would suggest using a lighter color. Before I made this card I practiced on a lighter color and it was very easy to see. The smaller butterfly is one of our new punches, isn’t it cute?? It’s called Bitty Butterfly. For each butterfly, I punched out two. I glued one down onto my Whisper White oval and then used glue dots just down the center of each one for a 3D effect. I finished the card off with some pearls down the center of each butterfly and below my greeting.

My colors are Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive and definitely not a combination I would have chosen on my own. I checked my Color Coach (page 151 in the Annual Catalog) and it said they would look good together and they certainly do! I used the Festive Paper Piercing Pack (another carryover from the Holiday Catalog) to add the piercing around each of my shapes. I have some thank you cards to send out and this one will definitely be sent off!

You can now order from the Spring Catalog!!! Yea!!! My card uses another stamp set from the new catalog called Just Thinking. I like this stamp set because sometimes you just want to send a card to a friend for no particular reason except that you are thinking of them. Of course it could also be used to send when a friend is going through a difficult time.
My colors are Gumball Green and Midnight Muse. I love this color combination! I stamped my image twice, one in each color. Then I used my 2 1/2″ circle punch to cut out the center of the Gumball Green. You could trim it up a bit but I was happy with it. The Window Frames Framelits are still available from the Holiday Catalog and I used them to cut my stamped images. I used dimensionals to pop up the circle and then again on the bottom layer. It seemed a bit plain to me so I added the pearls to the top and bottom as well a larger one at the top.

Happy New Year!!! Today is the last day to order from the Holiday Catalog!! Be sure to order those items that you can’t live without! I know that I am going to order a few things myself! It is also the last day to order single stamps.

Today I have a sneak peek for you from the Spring Catalog! My little bird is from the set Spring Sampler. There are 24 stamps in the set and they are ALL so cute!! My paper is from Print Poetry which is a new Designer Series paper pack. Each sheet is 4 1/2″ by 6 1/2″ and there are 48 pages of double sided paper! I punched my bird out with the 1 1/4″ Scallop circle punch. This punch was in Holiday catalog but will still be available after tomorrow!! I’m so glad because the Scallop circle punches are my favorites!
